"Have lived here for 4 years and I will say....large living spaces, great maintenance team, and quick response to problems. Great place to kick up your feet and relax"
"We’re coming up on 2 years with our apartment here. Absolutely love living here, the rent is better than other nearby apartments. The staff and maintenance are very friendly. I love that my pups are welcome, though I do wish there was a dog park for them to get to run in. Would love to chat with someone about that. Other than that, this place is gorgeous and wonderful to live at."
"The maintenance doesn’t come when you call. The people in the office are rarely there even during office hours making communication difficult. The overall all apartments are alright however the lack of communication is a real problem it’s almost impossible to get anything fixed unless you call multiple times to remind them."
"Landing in Kendallwood in 2020 made our perception of Kansas city only positive. This apartment area is safe and clean year round, and maintains the landscape beautifully. Also in the winter, they salt the floors and shovel main sidewalks! Although it is is an older apartment complex, they remodeled the apartments with new appliances, carpet, and paint. We have enjoyed all the amenities (maintained gym and swimming pool). Many of our neighbors lived here for decades, which is a good sign. The staff and maintenance crew have always proved to be diligent and professional in our experience. The only thing we had to get used to is requesting work for slow bathroom sink drainage about once a year (due to the pipes being narrow), but it's not been a huge problem for us since maintenance crew responds promptly. The price is good in our view. A tip for new residents: They have Google Fiber- who offers free internet option, which is a slower speed but sufficient for regular browsing and streaming (just don't upgrade, and it'll remain free). I calculate that as a discount to the rent!"
"LIVED HERE 8 YEARS and enjoyed it until the most recent landlord. Before I rant, I’d still like to recommend them. Neighbors aren’t bad. Location is in the middle of everything. It’s pretty quiet most of time and generally a decent place. My unit was old. I doubt the new units will have the issues mine did. All of this started because of the old unit I was in needed work. They remodeled around 13/14 but I was in college and had just moved in so I stayed. But just be cautious. I made repair requests for things that should’ve been fixed. From there on, Erika had a bone to pick with me. She locked me out the payment portal and I proved she was wrong on that so she quit responding. I told her I would report her to the state for retaliation and she still didn’t respond. So I did. And since I reported them to the state, my mail from the state started to go missing. So did the lawyers documents. I had also told her I had a lawyer. Only those two senders mail were missing. Coincidence? Possibly. Pools weren’t cleaned regularly so I stopped using them. And, even during covid, anyone was allowed in the pool. Security would invite people to the pool and hang with them instead of.. idk securing the property. Easy fix here. Washers and dryers broken for 3 years or more. I reported them 3-4 years ago and was told they’re trying to get new ones. Where does it take 3 years to replace washers and dryers? Another easy fix. Those same washers and dryers were broken until I left in January 2022. Reported fallen/damaged smoke detectors and got no response. Landlord/Maintenance saw, ignored and moved the fallen smoke detector. We intentionally left it where it fell because the landlord or maintenance would have to walk over it to access and inspect my unit for inspections. She didn’t know that though. So, when we came back out that day, we saw the smoke detector under the stairs. It was then disposed of and gone altogether. The sad part, is the gas leak that was continually coming from the laundry unit just feet away. Someone disposed of a smoke detector in a building where I’ve personally seen WATER IN THE LIGHT FIXTURES and multiple instances of gas smells. I had critters and snakes getting in through “new windows” but this was more a contractor fault rather than maintenance. But, bugs are everywhere! I’d personally spray my unit with a repellant and it worked. I moved in January, and they know. They left the gas on in my name so my usage was the highest in the last week (I wasn’t even there). They have their own account with spire and should’ve switched it over when you move. They didn’t do that so I was stuck with a bill that’s bigger than the any in 6 months. I still haven’t gotten my deposit back either. It’s April, I moved in January. You can’t count on the city. Called them and they never inspected the unit as they should. It states on their site how things should go. Twice, they failed. Leaving me with no way to demand the repairs. The relationship these apartments have with the city is interesting. You can’t go directly to the city without them involving the landlord."
