"Whatever you do..do NOT rent from this place. Or you will be fighting to get your deposit back. I am very disappointed in Northland Studios and the owner of this property. I actually thought this was a decent place to live for my first apartment until I had to deal with management about getting my deposit back. I only stayed there for a year, but I kept the place in tip top shape. Now..almost a year later, I am still fighting to get my deposit back from this place. Even after giving more than 60 days notice that I would be terminating my lease and being there for the final walkthrough. It seems like these people have a history of taking advantage of people. They have also been on the news TWICE in one week back in 2022 for being negligent and have a plethora of lawsuits against them for various reasons such as not returning security deposits/deposit dispositions on time (In Missouri, they have only 30 days to return security deposits with a list of damages) negligence, etc. Before renting anywhere…read reviews and do your research. I can not stress this enough."

"DO NOT RENT HERE. These apartments promised my sister a move in date which was days before she had to be out at her other apartment. She paid deposits, fees, etc to move in. Not only did the front desk lady try to say my sister never paid them, they keep telling her that the apt needs inspected. Only for the apartment to never be getting inspected. Gladstone was contacted & they didn’t even have a record of any inspectors coming out there. These apartments keep promising her one apartment, then another, then another. Only for her to need to be out of her current place in ONE DAY now & they’re still not letting her move in bc of their negligence. This is just the beginning. Imagine what you’d have to deal with AFTER signing a lease & being locked in with these crooks. Search somewhere else or try to scrape up the extra $100-$200 a month for something/somewhere more reliable & employees that are actually honest & care about the work they’re doing. These apartments are a joke."

"I am a current resident at northland Studios- I was told my unit would be ready by a certain date- it was not. I had to pay extra to keep the u haul an extra 24 hrs and had no place to sleep that night. When I finally got into a unit I turned on the bathroom light after my electricity got turned on and 20+ roaches scattered. Now coming up on my third month of residency there has been a 3-day notice posted on my door with the old tenant's name on it. It's saying that I owe for 2 months but it's not even my name on the notice. I'm currently sitting outside the empty office. Every time I come up to the office it's closed sometimes HOURS early. I'm very disappointed in this property."

"Absolutely DO NOT go to this property. After approval on a studio for myself and my sons I put down the required deposit of $750 to save a unit for me. I was told I would get an updated unit. For weeks i would call and go by and be lucky if someone was there or answered the phone. I planned my move date for 3 weeks out. They finally gave me an address and unit number after 9AM the day I was supposed to move in. It takes evergy 24hrs to turn on services. They had no power to the unit amd expected us to staythere in 100degree weather with no electricity.I went to the property was handed a key to view my "completed unit" the carpet was nearly black it was so disgusting. Maintenance still had all his tools and trash and paint everywhere. No outlet covers where on. No closet doors on. But that's not the worst!! It was infested with cockroaches!! They really thought I would be so desperate to take the unit. I was lied to and am having to wait for a check from the owners approval to return my deposit!!!! Which should have never been cashed when they knew they couldn't even guarantee me a unit and before a lease was signed. Now I have taken off work to not even move into home and my money is in limbo so I can't even put a deposit down elsewhere!!! Renters BEWARE!!"

"This place provides a inhabitable, unsanitary environment with a bad roach infestation, creepy maintenance people, and they charge you extra “late fees”. We had to move out early and pay two rents just to get away from the roaches that crawled on you while you slept, or while you cooked. When we would come check on the apartment they took the fridge that was in our unit for some other unit and left a pile of roaches for us to clean up. We had times we would come and the door was left wide open and our ac was taken apart, our wifi box was stolen. They never took care of any maintenance that needed done, never sprayed for the roach infestation and are hardly in the office. If I could rate in the negative I would."
