"I just resigned my lease for another year. So many positive changes have taken place to the property this past year that I can honestly say I love living here and have incredibly kind and caring neighbors. Management is on top of security, as well as the constant updating and improving of the rental units. And w/ the beautiful lake, less than a mile from here, something tells me I’m going to be a resident for a long time!!!"
"This is my first apartment I’ve ever rented and I give it a 5 star rating. Please keep in mind management has been switched to Sharpline Communities Management, and the new property manager as of 2023 is Monique Davis. I lived here starting in 2021 under North Terrace Property Management, paying $675 in rent for a 1bed/1bath and roughly $110 in utilities (WiFi, gas, and electricity). They required 3 times rent in income, I had not the greatest credit score which I feared they would reject me, and no rental history, and just the security deposit of 1 month rent. The sign on process was very easy and they prorated my first week there. I had no issues with my particular unit: it was updated with new appliances, fresh paint, and flooring. No issues with pests, roaches or bugs. Pest control would come monthly. There has been an uptick of wild cats on the premises due to a tenant setting out food and a small makeshift shelter, but I am not the one to complain as I am not cruel against animals. The only issue was the windows and balcony doors were not properly sealed so it did get drafty in the winters. The bathtub tile was peeling so I asked maintenance to recaulk the tub. I’ve had no issues with previous management, other than sometimes maintenance requests would be a bit slow, but has gotten better with new management. The washing machines would sometimes give out but that’s not the apartments fault as they source out the washing and drying machines (I cannot remember the company but maintenance requests would be directly through that company and not the apartment). My second year (2022) rent was raised to $695 and I decided to resign for another year lease. Again no issues with management, no issues with neighbors. Very quiet area and recessed from major streets. I felt very safe and it was only 7 minutes from the legends outlet, 3 minutes from Wyandotte county lake, 3 minutes from henhouse and quick trip. 25 minutes to country club plaza. New management (Sharpline) took over later of 2022 and started to do a lot of renovation externally with new paint, structural rehab, new doorman systems with keyless entry and camera viewing. Rent was increased to $840 for 1bed/1bath I believe. I did not resign the lease as I moved out, but I did switch to a month-to-month arrangement. I paid $990 a month for two months I stayed after my lease ended. Google fiber was installed in all units though I used spectrum internet for the time I was there. I do not know if inside of units were updated as well but I would assume they are. The new property manager was ON it. Monique did not play around with her tenants and answered any questions I had about move out processes, cleaning, final walkthrough. I received my full security deposit back which was very pleasant news. I will include photos below but keep in mind they are from when I moved out May 2023 and updates may have been made."
"It’s hard to get in contact with someone at this apartments I been trying for two weeks"
"Ever since the property management has changed a lot of things have changed too. The apartments are nicely done and it is easy to deal with the new on-site office manager. The rents are reasonable and you can tell that the property owner is trying to improve a lot of things. Not sure why the previous property manager would not rent to couples that were not married, but I've seen a lot of couples or roommates that have moved into the apartments and I've not had any issues to rent an apartment for myself and my friend."
"Judgemental This place is in an awesome area looks really quiet and nice but i dont recommend it unless you want to be judge by a hypocritical landlord. This place will not accept you unless your married because they say the owner frown upon it and it will be a termination of lease if they find out your not but he isnt god who is he to judge. Just another person in this world keeping good people down."
