"He probably spent 15 minutes and the cost for an initial office “visit” level 5 ( whatever that means?) and charged $2008.00 to my insurance!! I had actual film X-rays that were 2-3 weeks old and ne looked at NOTHING I brought…X-rays, cat scan and MRI and he still sent me in his facility and took 4 more with a charge $469.00 and billed also for a brief Health Assessment!!!! ARE YOU SERIOUS?? I’m 77 years old so I’ve been going to various doctors in my lifetime-this kind of billing is not only ridiculous but there should be a cap on a hurried office visit and there should be some kind of law against robbing sick people and Medicare and insurance should stop doctors from going overboard with their prices.God knows what he charges for actual surgery which I won’t find out and hope others will skip going to Dr.?Kurt Eichholtz!!!!!!"
"I am very pleased with my surgery from Dr. Eicholz. I would certainly recommend him for back and spine surgery."
"Dr. Eicholz mended my back seven months ago. Pain haunted me for a decade, tried all remedies. Then, a fierce bout, numbness in my foot. MRI revealed a herniated disc. Others could not see me for months, but STL MISC saw me promptly. Eicholz, thorough, advised a microdiscectomy. Surgery scheduled for a date convenient for me. Recovery had some ups and downs. Small incision healed, foot regained feeling, pain ebbed. 80% better compared to before surgery. Not feeling young again, but life reclaimed. Grateful to STL MISC and Dr. Eicholz."
"Dr Peter Sylvester is an outstanding surgeon. He takes the time to meet with his patients for as long as needed to explain all aspects of any and all proceedures he and the patient together make the decision to carry out. He never rushes through an appointment. He always makes sure that the patient understands what will happen before, during and after a procedure. I fully recommend Dr Peter Sylvester for anyone suffering from neck and back pain."
"I've literally had 2 surgeries with Dr. Eichols within 2 years, and he has only been very discreet and stated there is ONLY 1% of patients within this time frame to get a second surgery.??. So I will go on and tell you, I'm 52 years old, very active, and in shape! This had cost me over 8k out of pocket, and no matter how many times I contacted the office, I had never seen a concern! Always an excuse or my fault.. This is not acceptable, and I will NOW get another opinion.. I trusted his judgment and work ethic and have been so discouraged throughout this with him!!! Besides, I'm still hurting and certainly concerned with my back issues still!! My surgeries were July 2020 and November 2021! There should be no issues at this time and honestly don't have any faith he really cares for his patients . I definitely am so frustrated with his morals and care for the patients that he is guaranteed for this procedure. I'm in more pain now than both the surgeries he has performed, and no matter how many times I've called with my complaints, he states my MRI looks fine?? I can't understand this at all!! Why does he not address this??"
