"I am the Owner/Founder of Living Life Ranch, and we have been collaborating with Arista Recovery since February 2023. Every week, our Training Director: Jayne Hamilton and I transport horses to Arista to offer Equine Assisted Learning to their recovering patients. It brings us great joy to be a part of their program. Surprisingly, our horses eagerly anticipate these visits each week, seeming to say, “Pick Me, Pick Me.” The tranquil surroundings at Arista continue to improve, creating a serene atmosphere. Chris Atkins, a Counselor at Arista, was initially new to working with horses but has since become a valuable asset to our Equine Program. His deep care and dedication to his patients are evident. "So I will start off by saying I am family of a former participant that only completed through the detox at this facility due to the lack of honesty and transparency of the information provided by the center. Unfortunately through their stay they received no therapeutic treatment only group observations which were negative and the other participants derailed the session. The only session they had was a quick meeting regarding intake with someone that they would not see again. As my participant really like this intake provider this was disappointing. They also unfortunately refused to assist in the transfer process because it was a loss to their own facility, while I understand the situation it’s also quite telling that they are only in it for the money, rather than the actual betterment of the family of the addict or the addict seeking recovery. This is quite difficult as most centers do want to profit but also want the addict to recover. This center also does not have a pool. They also are not transparent in the initial screening as to the location of the only detox center. The only highlight for my participant was the kindness of the nurses. But that does not make a treatment center sadly. I’m writing this to save other families the same disappointment and dissatisfaction that we have received. Highly recommend Valley Hope or another similar program."
