Great Clips,

"I have been to Great Clips in several locations across the US and I have always been satisfied with the cut, however, a few days ago I visited the Richmond Heights location and did not have a god experience. I showed the stylist a photo of what I wanted (and they also had records of my previous cut in computer). Not only did the stylist cut my hair significantly shorter than requested she also did not cut it the way I requested--two entirely different style of cuts. When I asked why she didn't cut it las I asked, her response was, in essence, "because it wouldn't have looked good that way". I was shocked that she decided (on her own accord and without asking me) to give me a different cut than what I specifically asked for. I tried to be Ok with the cut, but every time I catch a glimpse of myself I get upset again AND worse the haircut just doesn't lay properly. So not only did I not get what I asked for, the cut is also poorly executed. My husband NEVER notices when I get a cut. But he noticed this time (and not ina good way)..he was like, "what happened to your hair?" I will never go back to that location even though they gave me a certificate for a free cut! When the assistant manager gave me the certificate she offered to recut it. But it was/is too late--the stylist had already cut so much of my hair that it was/is impossible to adjust it and it will takes many months for it to grow enough for it to be fixed. I have never cried about a hair cut in my life--I'm usually pretty chill. I cried about this one. Obviously, I don't recommend this location."

"From the reviews I might suggest choosing a different reputable barber if you get a bad cut. The barbers seem to know of each other within the local network. I've had good ones who I'll try to mention on a survey."

"Great Clips is not a full service salon. Went there for women's shampoo & style. After checking-in and waiting an hour, the stylist told me that they do fast and simple haircuts and wouldn't be able to do my shampoo& style--- it takes too long. Their target length of time in the chair is 8 minutes. I left and went to Supercuts, where I learned the difference: Great Clips is for high turnover, quick in & out services, and not services like hair relaxing, color, styling... Despite "shampoo & style" being listed as a service. Great Clips caters to children and men w quick & easy cuts. Know the difference and plan accordingly."

"I requested another stylist but she refused due to hour from closing so I got the other stylist-I was skeptical at first but David at Richmond Hts. site was great. I enjoyed speaking with him, his spirit was peaceful. I apologize if I in anyway offended you by thinking I wanted the other stylist. David, thank you my hair looks great."
