"Nothing but frustration with Hyundai service department. I've had my brand new Hyundai at the dealership 12 times for the same issue. Each time they've either ordered the wrong part, or they didn't even order the part. (Even though the appointment was scheduled.) I've asked for a manager to call, no one called. I've even been on hold for over 45 minutes waiting for someone to assist me with the issue. No help. So. In closing I would like to say when I think of incompetence I think of reliable Hyundai in Springfield, Missouri."

"Absolutely disappointing experience with this service department! Had car towed to them on a Saturday. Called 3 separate times to verify it had arrived. Call was transferred to the service department where someone picked up and I could hear talking and laughing, but no one spoke on phone. Called back and the front desk said they would email the service department to call me. 4 hours later, called again and transfered again, with the same situation happening. Thankfully, the towing company had taken a picture when they delivered it and sent me the pic. Called on Monday, spoke with Sam, explaining that I was from out of town (from GA) and needed an idea of issues with car so I knew whether to get rental and go home, or extend stay and remain in Mo. Sam called me back to tell me my catalytic converter needed to be replaced. I explained that I had the extended warranty that covers car for 100,000 miles and I'm currently at 93,000. I asked him to find out if this was covered and if not, to call me with a price. He called back less than an hour later, saying, "Oops, your engine also needs to be replaced." I asked what was wrong with engine and he had no information, just that it needed to be replaced and it was under warranty. The catalytic converter was not under warranty and he quoted me $2630 for replacement, not including anything else they found. I asked them to order the engine for replacement and hold off on the catalytic converter, but something just seemed fishy. I told them I would research info and get back to him. I also explained my work hours and to please not contact me until after 3:00 p.m. eastern time. When I contacted Hyundai Warranty service, Sam had told them my mileage wrong, telling them 64,000 miles instead of 93,000. Sam repeatedly called me at work, even though he had been asked not to, to see if I had made a decision about the catalytic converter, even though they didn't even have the engine yet. Finally, I asked him to not call me again, that I absolutely had no faith and trust in their service department and they would not be replacing anything that I would have to pay for, and that I would only speak with the service manager. I had my car towed to a certified Hyundai mechanic. He quoted me $1200, less than half of what Sam at Reliable quoted me. He inspected the catalytic converter and even put a scope inside and found absolutely nothing wrong with my catalytic converter. I drove it home, over 700 miles, and had not one issue with it. When I returned home, I took the car to my local mechanic that I have used for over 20 years. He inspected the car and found absolutely nothing wrong with the catalytic converter, even after scoping it also. I absolutely would not trust Reliable Service Department with any work to be done."
"My daughters boyfriend took his car here back in March. They said it need a new motor , not covered. Quoted over 10 grand(double other shops). He then went to pick up the car and was told they ordered a motor and it is actually covered under warrenty.No one ever called him. Since then he gets little communication when asking questions , always being brushed off. It is now almost September. He still does not have his car, they wont provide a loaner, he's been getting rides to work since March.They are very dismissive and do not care about the huge negative impact this has had on his life. Still over half a year later have no car and no answers. After seeing how they have taken care of him I will never purchase or suggest Hyundai to anyone. I will share this story so people know after the purshase you will be hung out to dry if you have issues. I don't know where the break is in this shop, a lack of integrity, short handed, bad leadership but cooperate needs to take a look so the area can be better served."
