"Our server was a little sassy, we liked that. Best tenderloin that I've ever had! Their prices are very reasonable. Go there!"
"We have ordered from classics many times over the past few years, probably more times than I'd like to admit. They NEVER disappoint. Their food is amazing. All of the staff is awesome. Best place to eat in Cole Camp, by far!"
"Was just about full when we got there. Received fast courteous service, our orders came promptly, tasted very good and was a good portion that was fairly priced. Looking forward to returning."
"I cannot recommend the Classic Grill. The waitress could not remember who ordered what. I was last to order and when she brought mine, it was the larger item of what I ordered (I ordered the senior item). The waitress took it back, and returned. They simply cut my order to about 1/3 of the incorrect order size. They did even try to hide their mistake and did not even change plates (what I ordered is served on a smaller plate). They said nothing about the error, other than questioning me if I ordered correctly."
"The Classic Grill: A Blast from the Past in Missouri My wife Kimberly and I were visiting family in Sedalia and Cole Camp. We have had our fill of the same old fast food chains and generic restaurants. We needed something different. Something real. We wanted a place like Cole Camp itself. A place where people still knew each other by name. A place where life was simple and slow. There was a restaurant that stood out from all the others. It was covered with blue lights that gave it a retro vibe. It looked like a place that had a story to tell. We decided to give it a try. We were immediately greeted by a friendly waitress who led us to a table. She handed each of us a menu and asked what we wanted to drink. We placed our order and looked at the menu. It was full of home-town food, the kind that your mom or grandma used to make. Here’s a list of some of those items: • Pork tenderloin sandwich • Meatloaf • Onion rings • Fried fish • And much, much more Everything was made from scratch and cooked to order. The portions were generous and the prices were unbelievably reasonable. I asked the waitress what she recommended. She said that the pork tenderloin sandwich was their specialty, and that it arrived almost as big as the plate on which it sat. She said that it came with hand cut fries and coleslaw, and that it was simply the best sandwich that we’d ever eat. I was hungry and adventurous, and so I decided that I’d give it a go. She smiled and took my order. A few minutes later, she brought me my sandwich. It was huge. The pork was tender and juicy, coated with a crispy batter. The bun was soft and buttery. The fries were hot and crispy. The coleslaw was creamy and crunchy. It looked amazing. I took a bite and felt a surge of flavor. It was delicious. It tasted like home, but better. It tasted like comfort, but not boring. It tasted like nostalgia, but not old-fashioned. It was one of the best sandwiches I’d ever had. I ate until I was stuffed. I couldn’t finish it all, but I gave it my best shot. The waitress came back and asked me how I liked it. I told her that it was fantastic and thanked her for the suggestion. She said that she was glad that I enjoyed it, and that she hoped that we would come back again someday. She went on to tell me that the Classic Grill had been around for many years, and that it was a locally owned family business. She said that they used local ingredients and recipes that had been passed down from family member to family member. She said that they were proud of their food and their history, and that they wanted to share it with everyone who came to their diner. They had many loyal customers who came from near and far, and that they always welcomed new ones. Classic Grill was more than just a diner; it was a community. I asked for the bill and paid for my food. She gave me a receipt and wished me a good day. I got up from my table and walked out of the diner. I felt happy and satisfied. I had found something different in Cole Camp after all. Something real. If you’re ever anywhere near Cole Camp Missouri, do yourself a favor and stop by the Classic Grill. You’ll be glad you did."
