"If you know rouladen, you know it's a long, slow cook, so most German restaurants don't offer it. The Hub not only offers it but knocks it out of the park. Great flavor, tender meat, and quality ingredients. The wait staff was also very helpful and made themselves a must return on my next visit through town."
"The Hub has some very good food and the service was wonderful. The restroom needs some attention but other than that, the dinner was enjoyable. I would recommend the pork shank."
"Where do I begin? Salad had canned beans on it and only French or ranch were choices. Vinegar and oil that I asked for was white vinegar and vegetable oil. The bread came with “whipped spread” and not butter. The schnitzel I had was covered with obviously jarred gravy. Mushrooms were canned. Meat was lukewarm and breading was soggy. Took 6 min so I’m sure it was reheated. Iced tea was instant. Cheese on husbands schnitzel was American cheese. Spaetzel was very old tasting and the red cabbage was also from a can. On top of that the prices are through the roof. Someone please call Gordon Ramsey. I do not understand the ratings I’m seeing. This was prob the worst place I’ve been in a decade. Nothing here was fresh except the iceberg lettuce on the salad. Huge disappointment. Server was kind. Didn’t want to say anything cuz I’m a wimp."
"First time visiting this authentic, locally owned German restaurant and if I get to the area again will definitely be back! The Goulash soup, Weiner Schnitzel, Rouladen.. good grief everything down to the garden salad and potato salad... even the dinner rolls were amazing! Took coconut and chocolate cream pie to go for later. Numerous imported beers to choose from plus a deli counter on the other side of the restaurant! Great, friendly, informative server too! If you want to try real German food in middle America come check out this restaurant!"
"Sadly, the food was not impressive. The service was excellent, the decor was fun, and the restaurant was clean. These things however did not make up for the poor quality of the meals. One should expect made-to-order dishes or at least same-day preparation when the price for a full meal is $35 to $55 per person. Simply put, the odds of this being frozen food which is then microwaved is somewhat high. The lack of taste gives it away. Also, if your order arrives 7-9 minutes after service takes it, then you know it was either kept on a heater for hours or microwaved from frozen. It would have been amazing to have a local German restaurant to frequent. Going back for another meal is out of the question."
