"Kindness could go so far: Bad experience"
"went to the Kansas City Store at Country Club Plaza with my biracial daughter. The staff was very disrespectful and staring at her, and following her through the store. They were whispering and looking at her with disgust. My daughter brought it to my attention and I looked up at the ladies. They both stared at me rudely and I looked back with a questioning look. They again looked at my 21 year old with disdain. I loudly stated. “ I guess they do not need our money in here Olivia!” I said this while looking straight at them. We walked to the door and as we were exiting someone asked if they could help us. I replied, “no”. This happened today at approximately 125pm to 130pm. It is very unfortunate to experience this kind of micro-aggression and to be made to feel less than, in one of my most favorite stores that I enjoy. Unfortunately, I was not able to try on the dresses I was eyeing because of racism.Horrible, disappointing experience."
"Older woman working was incredibly condescending. I think I mixed up fibers talking about dry cleaning and she rudely rolled her eyes and corrected me. Definitely don't like being belittled prior to spending money somewhere."
"Had the best experience here today. Everyone was nice and very helpful. I was looking for dresses and they even looked through the recent online returns to see if they had any other styles I could try on. I ended up finding a couple great dresses and left very happy! Thank you again!"
