"Eleve Dancewear is discriminating women who have normal bodies and are passively pressuring dancers to lose weight and be extremely thin. I ordered a customized leotard in early July 2023 and followed the size chart. Medium was the recommended size for my body measurements. I’m 5’7” and 125 pounds. The leotard that I received after waiting almost two months was extremely small. I could barely put it on and it was tight on my legs, hips and chest. It made me feel that I was too fat. I decided to measure the leotard and it matched a Children’s Large size. I contacted Eleve and they suggested it was my fault; that their leotards are “snug”; and I should’ve ordered a bigger size or a regular leotard first to check what my size was (of course, more money for their pockets). I asked if I could exchange it for a Large and they refused to accept the exchange or return my money. After exchanging multiple emails with them the solution they offered was to have me ship them the leotard (I had to pay for the shipping costs), they will try it on their models (which I’m sure are extremely thin) and measure it, and if there were no errors in production I would have to pay again to have it sent back home. I didn’t go through the process because I’ve already spent a lot of money on the leotard, and the only thing they’ve done is give me excuses and make me think that it’s my fault that a Medium size doesn’t fit me, even though their size chart recommends a Medium based on my body measurements. I know what they’re gonna say if I send it back so it’s not worth it. I’m so disappointed with the brand and the customer service they provide. I refuse to support this brand that encourages anorexia and unhealthy bodies. I’ll never buy anything from Eleve Dancewear again."

"I wish I had looked at their reviews prior to purchasing from this company. It is really a shame that all of their negative reviews are about their bad customer service, which is what we have experienced. They are very very rude and they lie about where their manager is if you ask for her. Then when you refuse to back down to their lies, the manager Shelly finally comes to the phone with a horrible attitude and bad customer service. Maybe whoever owns this place will finally look into how badly they treat their customers. Customer service is everything to me, and unfortunately for them we are living in time where service means way too much for them to treat their customers this way and think they are not going to lose business. What's worse is look at their responses to bad reviews. They make excuses and blame the customer. Awful."

"I love to come here and get leotards for my Significant other!!! It's such a great place and they really help you find what you need! They have so many different things to choose from and are super helpful!! It's definitely a great place to come for all your dance wear needs!"
