"Received a jacket as a birthday gift from my mom. It was a little too big so I drove 30 minutes to go to this store for an exchange. They offered me nothing and acted as if I stole my own birthday gift. Even though I had the receipt and proof that it has been mailed to me. They ended up putting the credit back on the original credit card making me feel like they took my birthday gift and wasted my time! It's 2021. They should have store credit or store gift cards fo cases like this!"

"Could not get any help without asking for it. Was treated very rudely. I was dressed nicely with hair and makeup done and fine jewelry on. The girl insinuated that my diamonds were fake (they’re not), and when I saw a dress that I was interested in asked what size an X was she said “I don’t know, I don’t usually deal with the large sizes.” I usually wear a 12 or 14 which I found out later is an X. They lost a sale that day and a customer for life!"

"I have been a loyal Talbots customer for over 30 years. The other day I went in to pick up a few items. No one down in the Missy section was acting like they wanted to help me so I went up to the Petite section. I stood there and waited while the woman behind the counter was busy on her cell phone. No one was looking on the floor paying attention to the customer. I waited and waited and finally cell phone woman looked up and saw me standing there. No "I'm so sorry for your wait" -or- even a simple hello. What I got was "I was helping a customer on my phone." Uh - seriously? I'm a customer too and I was standing there with clothes and a credit card. Yikes -"

"Staff was helpful. Got a shirt from the back I was looking for. Check out was a mess. 3 registers 2 of which were tied up with returns and exchanges and part of their ordering system was down. After 5 to 10 minutes of waiting in line the third one finally finished up and the clerk running it said she had to go to the back one of the others would help us. I was 2nd in line and decided I didn't want the clothes that much and left. BTW there were 4 people in line after me and the 2 registers doing returns and exchanges looked no where near being done. Very poor service and planning. You have a sale you make sure your system is up and running. After today I definitely won't be going to Talbot's on Black Friday no matter how good the sale."
