"My 7 year old was recommended to have an outpatient procedure by their pediatric gastroenterologist. We scheduled the procedure for more than 3 weeks out. Come to find out, no one processed our insurance for authorization for the procedure until the day before it was scheduled. So of course no insurance authorization was ready. However, we were not informed of this until the day of procedure. This is after we had made our child do all the prep, as well as had her stay home from school, and arranged other work and childcare schedules to be ready for her procedure. I told them if they’re recommending children to get invasive procedures done where they’re asking them to abstain from eating and also do other prep, then they have no excuse not to have all their ducks in a row on their end. This was also after I had been called, and I called myself, a couple times to go over the procedure in the few days in advance, and no one had ever thought to check her insurance. Insane. AND, what I find hilarious, is they have a yahoo email address. What professional company in this day and age uses yahoo for their email server? I did send them an email after this fiasco regarding my complaints, and so far, I have received zero response. Dr. Presley Wallace seemed nice enough. However we had to wait over an hour past our scheduled appt time and the office staff seemed to think this was normal, and never came to check on us until I had asked a couple times if the doctor was coming. Overall, I would definitely seek other care for myself or my child."
