"Pleasant experience - lots of history and charm at this place. Amy and Kendra were so helpful and kind, and the breakfast staff was fun and helpful and accommodating. Will definitely stay here again if we are in the area. We ended up getting in late and all arrangements for check in were taken care of for us. A ++++"
"I had an opportunity to eat dinner and to spend the night for a friend's birthday event. The room was decorated nicely the servers were especially nice! The food was good and the presentation was nice and the drinks were good. I think The bar is set up so nice!! I love it. I had some drink recipes in my phone and had the bartender to make them. Everybody wanted what I had! Lol. We spent the night and I was originally afraid b/c I heard it was haunted. But, after all those drinks I couldn't remember a thing. We had breakfast the next morning and it was good. The servers were so super sweet! We took a tour of the home. Great information. However, it was sad to hear how blacks played apart in this home at the time. Having to whistle when they walked with food to make sure they weren't eating the food being brought to owners/family. The history of the house however is about The Kline's and it is alot of rich history. Mr Kline's took care of his children. Since this is Black History Month I challenge everyone to visit some bed and breakfast areas and learn some history as to how black people played apart in that time."
"My husband and I had a chance to spend the night at Cedar Grove. The home is so beautiful and full of history. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was delicious! We really appreciated the tour of the home and all the stories about the family and the history of the era. It really made the history we had learned about Vicksburg come alive. I highly recommend staying at the Inn. It was the highlight of our Vicksburg trip."
"My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at the Inn at Cedar Grove for one night this week. The whole experience was superb. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. We stayed in Room 6 and had a great stay. The bed was comfortable, and the room was beautifully decorated. Breakfast was also tasty! The whole mansion is beautiful, and I absolutely love its historical charm. We hope to return for a future visit and highly recommend others to check out Cedar Grove Mansion!"
"DELIGHTFUL! Hospitality, hospitality, hospitality. Free home tour to registered guests. ($10/person otherwise) You’re allowed to grab a drink from the bar to enjoy as you take the tour. I chose a mint julep and they cut the mint fresh from the garden for it. Communication with the owner and staff was flawless and easy. Grounds are lovely and the neighborhood quiet. Home is rich in history and guests are welcome to use all parlors and porches. The pool was clean and parking was a level, gravel lot. We stayed in the mansion upstairs. The room was immaculately clean and the bed very comfortable. Sunset on the upstairs balcony was lovely as well as enjoying morning coffee out there and listening to the birds. Breakfast was a delight. Cannot recommend this place more. Treat yourself to this wonderful escape! Edited to add we came back for a second stay 12/22/23 while traveling for Christmas. The house looked magical! We tried the river view terrace suites this visit and enjoyed #34 immensely. There is a bit of road noise but was otherwise nice and quiet. The Terrace rooms are not handicapped accessible and if you have trouble with stairs or don’t like heights these are not the option for you. It was white glove clean and the view was beautiful. Only disappointment was we couldn’t stay longer. Staff was again so very hospitable. This is a gem of a place."
