"Sold me rancid-smelling, spoiled dog food and then would not let me exchange it for a fresh bag. They also wouldn't refund my money. I didn't have my receipt--my dog has eaten this brand for 11 years--why would I have kept it?! I offered to show the charge on my account; they told me no. "After decades of adopting only rescues, I've just gotten a red standard poodle puppy. He had gotten quietly sick in his crate during our two-hour drive back from Florence. We stopped in at the Pet Mart in Newport to pick out his "puppy layette." Since he'd only had one of his three required puppy shots and had soiled his crate, I carried him into the store and held him while shopping to avoid possible exposure to a doggy illness. That put a definite crimp in my ability to select the things he needed. Justin, who was restocking shelves, came to my rescue and helped me select the couple dozen things I needed for Monty. Over $500 later, Justin carried everything out to my car for me and was very helpful with Monty while I was cleaning the mess out of his crate. I've been back every week since, adding this or that to Monty's layette. Always love the fun toys that are in stock and was particularly surprised to hear from Justin during one visit that they have just started carrying Orijen dog food. This week we were back to the store to get Monty a new leash and matching raincoat. All of the staff is very friendly; all you need to do is ask a question and you will get all the help you need.
