"Rude? It's not personal. I am Marcus, the owner of Heeltoe and this UPS drop location. I have read reviews here and I am not surprised by the mixed experiences I've given people. 1) I am glad to be a UPS drop location. It helps people. HOWEVER, I run a private business and can invest very little time in the UPS thing. I've tried to make it self-serve by putting a drop box on counter where people can drop and go. It works great. Miracle Sign in town made the sign. 2) If someone needs help we are here to provide answers. I can be direct with people and can come off arrogant. It's just my way. I am trying to be more chipper with people these days. But some of you are really very rude to ME because you don't like my answers. That isn't my fault. 3) This is NOT a "The UPS Store." Amazon returns that have the QR code scanning that must go to a "The UPS Store" cannot be tendered here. People get really tweaked when we deny these packages. One person TOLD ME that I took them before. I think she thought I was just being lazy and not scanning her package. Really. 4) It bears mentioning again. I am just a drop location and this part of what I do represents LITERALLY 0.004% of my business. I have so little to do with anything related to the "UPS Shipping provider" title that I can't even administer reviews for us on Google here, which is why I am writing this as a review of myself. I gave myself 4 stars. Not perfect, but I do my job. Think of the cardboard box on my counter as a big version of that mailbox in the Safeway parking lot. If you have a problem with UPS, I have nothing to do with it. 5) I come in at 9-ish, work alone all day I leave at 5. This UPS business is the ONLY reason I keep regular hours here. My son is helping me weekdays after school and once he graduates he'll be here more. I am alone and extremely busy running my business during the day. Sometimes I am on web meeting when people come in, or I am in the bathroom, or I am just in the thick of my work. At times, I need to get your UPS question or issue handled as fast as possible to move forward. Customers want to make it a debate about what sort of service I offer and that is really frustrating for both of us. If you feel coldness or rushed out these factors may be part of that. 6) You want a receipt, CYA, I get it. And yes, it is quick and easy for us to generate a receipt. But we can't be doing it all day long. 99.5% of you DO NOT need receipts. All the receipt does is serve as physical evidence you dropped something off here. Digital evidence is recorded for everything we get here as we scan all packages. I get around 50 cents a scan. The only reason for me to do this job at all, other than offer the service to the community, is for my 50-cents a scan. If you *require* a receipt to physically show and prove to another party you dropped something with us, and simply tracking the number online to show it was dropped off isn't enough, we can email you a receipt. But yes I have to stop what I am doing (see 5 above) to do this for you. This policy avoids my needing to pace back and forth to the counter and my printer 40 times a day. I have try to limit it to only those who really need it and--honest truth--that is almost nobody. 7) To the reviewer who is complaining that I didn't want to generate receipts for 10 boxes. I have a lot of businesses dropping here and nobody gets receipts. I take some time with regulars to educate them on the scanning/receipt thing and the vast majority of them find that online tracking is enough. Our businesses can work together. If you are going to insist on receipts for everything I can and do have a process for that. 8) I DO provide the UPS services. You need boxing, shipping, other help. Sometimes just some advise. I provide all of that. It doesn't come with a smile all the time. You're fine. I do this service is done largely as a favor to Forest Grove. Before I opened my shop and started taking packages there was nowhere in town to drop UPS shipments. If someone else wants to take over this UPS business, come talk to me."
"Called and talked to a guy named Marcus, he was very condescending and spoke down to me immediately. This guy was just really arrogant and made it seem like he was above talking to customers. Won't ever do business here again."
"I recently had an incredibly disappointing encounter with UPS customer service at the Forest Grove branch. I feel compelled to share my experience to warn others about the poor level of service provided at this location. First and foremost, the customer service representatives at this branch were terribly rude. Their lack of professionalism and arrogance was evident from the moment I approached the front desk. I requested receipts for the more than 10 packages I had delivered, but instead of assisting me or providing a solution, the staff member I spoke to responded in a dismissive and condescending manner. They claimed that it would be a waste of paper to print individual receipts and insisted that I handle the task online. This lack of empathy and unwillingness to accommodate a simple request was unacceptable. What made matters worse was that this was my first time dropping off packages at the Forest Grove branch. In the past, I had used other UPS branches like Hillsboro for years without any trouble, and I had come to expect a certain level of service consistency from UPS. Unfortunately, my experience at this particular branch fell far below that standard. As someone who sends hundreds of packages monthly for our business, I am deeply disappointed and frustrated by the poor treatment I received at the Forest Grove branch. I am left with no choice but to vow never to send another package through this location again. When there are alternative branches that provide excellent customer service, it is simply not worth subjecting oneself to such disrespectful treatment. For those seeking reliable and respectful customer service, I strongly advise against using the UPS Forest Grove branch. The negative encounter I had with their staff is not indicative of the level of service one should expect from a reputable company like UPS. In conclusion, my experience with UPS customer service at the Forest Grove branch was unacceptable. The rude and unhelpful behavior of the staff, coupled with their refusal to accommodate a simple request, has left me with a lasting negative impression. I sincerely hope that UPS addresses these issues and takes steps to improve the customer service experience at this branch. Until then, I urge others to drive to a different UPS branch like Hillsboro where they can expect to receive the level of service they deserve."
"Terrible customer service felt like more of a confrontation than a service. I came in to return a valuable package to my company. I asked the guy sitting in his office if I could have a receipt, and he very visibly showed that this was a major annoyance. I had already placed my box in the cardboard box they use to take packages, and he belittled me, saying he needed to scan the item to give me a receipt. He proceeded to pull my package out of the box in a rush to put it on the counter to scan, even though he literally had a barcode scanner that could have done this from inside the box. He then started to tell me how he scans these throughout the day, as if it were another way of telling me that I was inconveniencing him by asking for something that he was going to do later anyway. This is not the only time I have had an issue getting a receipt here, but I have never pressed the issue. It turns out that when you insist on a receipt, the experience is quite poor. This whole process took 60 seconds, and a single ounce of friendliness or professionalism would have saved this location from a negative review that will last a lifetime."
"Have used this location to drop off UPS packages a few times now and always very easy and quick. The owner is running another mail order business from the same location but is super willing to help with finding a box or getting the UPS label made. They get a small commission for each package shipped from there. I recently needed a large box to ship some electronic cables and they found one for me that worked great (no charge). No windows in front - just open the red door. Easy parking. Thanks for being there."
