"I moved into the Roux in March of 2021 and lived here until this past July 2023. I got a great deal, $1179 for a one bedroom w/s/g included. They were desperate to get people in after a mass move out spurred by the commotion from the Red House next door so I ignored the bad reviews. There were SEVERAL things wrong with this place: shotty electrical, cheap appliances, no storage in unit. It's clear they used every single cost cutting measure they possibly could for this complex. Still, I loved the location and since I was locked into a good price, I stayed. The reason I'm writing this review today, however, is their withholding of my security deposit. I left the unit in great condition, I left no trash or holes in the walls, no damages. Everything that was there when I moved in was there when I moved out and nothing else was left behind. When I asked the reason for them withholding my security deposit and attempt to charge me an additional $140 on top of that, Heather Wright, the property manager, stated "3 hours of painting, cleaning, and a missing window screen". Anyone familiar with Oregon tenant laws knows that additional cleaning and painting of the unit in preparation for a new tenant is the responsibility of the landlord. THEY WILL TAKE YOUR SECURITY DEPOSIT IN BAD FAITH REGARDLESS OF HOW YOU LEFT YOUR UNIT. DO NOT LET THEM GET AWAY WITH IT. I am taking this to small claims court."

"Management was unresponsive and aggressive. Tried to charge me for not notifying them about something, even though I had been calling and emailing for weeks. No parking around here and mail room is not secured. Do not recommend, you can definitely find better run apartments in the area."

"I could go on for day's about this dysfunctional property management. STAY FARE AWAY.....unless you enjoy being treated inhumane, bullied, and the best of all having You're deposit wrongfully kept. My apartment was cleaned at move out, they took unclear photo's that did not compare to my clear as day photo's, and said they kept my deposit for regular ware and tear wich is against the law. So lies, and bullies is what you will get. Important note* you will be exposed to high level's of catastrophic chemical's from the house next door burning plastic and trash. This causes damage to you're internal organ's including you're nervous system. Imagine you're worse relationship with a Narcissist....this is what you will experience."

"DO NOT MOVE IN HERE!!! You may be tempted be the two free months they’re offering, but everything about this place is awful. First off, you’re right next door to the red house on Mississippi so be ready to hear that situation right outside your window no matter how much sound proofing material you use. There’s no security aside from a small keypad at the door, and in the time we’ve lived here there have been two break ins. There is also no system for securing packages and we’ve had several stolen from other tenants. The circuitry is poorly done, we have fuses burst at least once a month. And the cherry on top, the management is absolute garbage. Her name is Heather and she could not care less about her job. If you insist on help with the conditions, she will just verbally assault you over text message and refuse to provide any information about her superiors. Good luck contacting the owner, he has made himself very difficult to find. I won’t even go into the “perks” of this place because they are completely outweighed by the negatives. Wish I never moved in, I’m trudging through the last few months of our lease, hoping nothing devastating happens."

"Poor Management and move in process. When we moved in our lights, keys, mailbox, and fridge all did not work. It appeared there was no inspection of the apartment or prep of new tenants before we came. Super unprofessional. The living room and kitchen space is a lot smaller than the pictures indicate as well and the place to hangout comfortably is the bedrooms. Management offered no assistance during Covid and only put up mask mandate in building about 8 months into pandemic."
