Yaquina Bay Lighthouse Newport, OR 97365

"Open for tours now, I believe… just make sure the guy on the phone is correct, and/or verify on the website. We visited in 2021 ( cool, closed, covid carry over I think), and again September 2023. Closed again, but I misunderstood fella on the phone… Looks very historic and authentic. Easy to find, top of hill down to the harbor. Even w/o touring inside, the view up high of the lighthouse and bridge and harbor and ocean is fabulous!"

"Tough to beat the view of the bay bridge and the beach. Area is clean including the picnic area and bathrooms. The lighthouse history is very interesting. Make the stop, you will like it."

"This is a very beautiful place to visit. It offers beach access and you can take beautiful photos. There is the lighthouse that you can see. Also a beautiful memorial for fisherman who have been lost at sea. There is picnic tables and restrooms available also. I highly recommend this location if you are in the Newport are. It's really beautiful"

"Amazing stop. Fantastic in the fact you can go inside, the original items inside are in pristine condition, the view is fantastic, there are bathrooms in the back, and picnic tables everywhere. It’s free to park and look inside. We went to 3 lighthouses on the coast and this was our favorite. Breathtaking. There are quite a few stairs and a sloped path to get to the top, so it not wheelchair/disability friendly and might be difficult for the elderly."

"Beautiful setting. On the day we went, we couldn't go inside the lighthouse. But the tide pools down below are absolutely amazing. We spent the majority of our time down here. The have a nice dog area off the main parking area, so you can bring pups if you want, but not down to the tide pool area. Great for kids and adults alike. Plenty of parking."
