"Management is non existent when they are here they are no help don’t move here unless you like horrible experiences you can find way better for the price"
"Lived here for almost two years. It was nice living across the street from Riverfront Park but it was not worth the pain of living in a C&R managed building. Just horrible management: The type of management that will allow your bikes to be stolen out of the “secure” bike parking that you pay them rent for. Still not sure how this happened as they never really felt the need to explain. The type of management too negligent to have cameras around the building so that when people inevitably vandalize or break into your car (this is downtown after all) they will be useless. They type of management that will give you a filthy apartment and then charge you a cleaning fee when you move out, despite you leaving it much cleaner than when it was given to you. The type of management that would put the manager and her very loud toddler in the apartment above you after you’ve asked to move into that same unit, which forces you to move from all the constant noise reverberating from the paper thin walls. This type of management will then try to charge you a move out fee twice! And refuse to give you back your deposit, because you didn’t pay the move out fee twice! The type of management that does not do anything about the dog owners having their pets pee and poop all over the place. The type to inexplicably fire the maintenance and cleaning people so repairs take forever and the place stays filthy while they jack up the rent and parking fees. Quite possibly the worst landlords I’ve had. I have pity for everyone who still lives there."
"They look pretty online, but can't get anyone to return my call or email, despite their website saying they have 4 vacancies. I went there in person, noticed there are no screens on any windows, but tried again to get a tour scheduled. Rang the buzzer for office, was buzzed in, only to be greeted by locked office door with a note "in a meeting". Okay... security is lacking. Knocked on said door, to be told "i will get you a business card". She disappeared, I left. No response. No screens, no secure entrance. No thanks."
"I am thrilled to have the opportunity to give complements to Sandy, Property Manager, at The Court Yard Apts. She is always so friendly, available anytime during the day for any questions I have had, extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I love her creative talents when sending out monthly flyers as they are easy and interesting to read. Sandy dresses very professional every day which I thoroughly appreciate . The Court Yard Apts are so lucky to have her as our Property Manager. Having Crystal as our maintenance person has been a blessing for our apartment complex. She is so thorough in everything she does. Even the elevators always are clean. She has so many skills in all areas . Crystal is always so friendly and very positive all of the time. I am always thrilled to see her. Jeannie Williams Apartment 201 The Court Yard Apts"
"While these apartments are beautiful and new, the heating system, sewage system, and management are all sub par, especially given the cost of these. The heating/aircon system does not seem to communicate with the thermostat most days. Without adjusting the posted temperature, you can either freeze or sweat, without any logical explanation. After coming back from a short stint out of town, our apartment was filled with sewage smell. Apparently this is a known problem, as when I called the main office to report this, they told me to pour boiling water down the drain, which we have done since to rectify this. When we originally moved in over 4 months ago, we were given incorrect paperwork to sign. Unbeknownst to us, we signed it and lived without issue in our apartment since. About a month ago we received new paperwork from the main office without explanation. When I called the main office to get clarification as to why we were signing new paperwork, we were simply told we would need to sign or be evicted. No explanation as to why we were signing a second lease. We signed, and then a week later received yet another email with more paperwork, and even more pieces of paperwork that were originally missed by the office. This was accompanied by multiple multiple emails requesting us to complete the paperwork, despite our protests that this should not be necessary again. Finally, as emails were ineffective in getting proper explanation as to the necessity of this, we were able to catch management in their office to discuss, where we were told that they didn't have either of our previous documents we had signed. Additionally, we were told the third set of paperwork we had been sent was not correct either. After this discussion it took over 2 weeks for management to get back to us with the correct documents, and then once again it became a time crisis for us to sign the 4th set of documents that took them 2 weeks to put together. Save yourself the hassle of leasing here. For the amount of money paid, I would at least expect them to be able to hire competent staff."
