"The room felt unsafe and wasn't that clean. No deadbolt. No other lock other than key lock. Someone else's bar of soap (used) left on towel rack. No washcloths. No actual blanket on bed, just a thin cover and a sheet. Broken glass in the driveway, couldn't go in office to register, had to stand in the cold. Took a copy of my license and wouldn't give me a copy of the receipt I signed. The guy next door came over to have me help him watch his truck so many homeless around. Guy at desk got upset when I called for wifi password and couldn't understand him very well. Pretty expensive for what it was. Spend an extra $10 or $15 and stay at a better place."

"Honestly I came from Seattle Washington to visit my daughter so got into Salem late around 1am the front desk worker was a stand up person who did not charge me full price (check out @ 11am). The room was nice new granite for the sink new flooring clean location is great Chevron right next to the holiday Lodge video poker machines restaurant family friendly restaurants very close to the Mall overall this place is highly recommended not but a joy coming to HOLIDAY LODGE RIGHT OFF HAWTHORNE IN BEAUTIFUL SALEM OREGON. STAFF MAKES THE EXPERIENCE SO MUCH BETTER GOTTA SHOW THE STAFF RESPECT"

"I wish 0 stars was available! This is the absolutely the worst hotel EVER!! I booked through Expedia, when I arrived I was told there was a 100 deposit due. Went to have dinner and came back to watch some tv, no remote. Front desk girl through it to the room 45 mins later. The remote did not work the tv. I spend the next few mins trying to find channels. I walked back down the the lobby and told the receptionist no channels were coming in! She laughs then says oh the cable guy will be here Tuesday, the cable was t working at this time! Then the room itself!! The floors were extremely dirty, like it hasn’t seen a vacuum since 1999! Horribly done patches on all walls! Floors are also sticky. Customer service is non/existent, very rude, will straight up up lie to your face. I called Expedia to refund my room. I checked out faster then I checked in! Hotel manager “rejected my refund” request from Expedia, because I was there for 2 hours. What a joke!"

"Room didn’t have cable, front desk lady very helpful in that she brought me new tv and box but still no cable in room. Also the room I was in (144) was on the south side and did not receive a Wi-Fi signal in room, only the other side of motel did. There was no housekeeping done on the room between my nightly stays either. Also, there is a $100 deposit required at check in, there is no mention of this thru the entire booking process. In fact it states all fees included, it’s not until after you book it and get the confirmation email, then it states there’s a $100 deposit."
