"Lived here for one year and almost 3 months. Have really enjoyed it! Great location. Close to some of my favorite restaurants. Super quiet and easy access to the clubhouse. Would definitely refer to anyone looking for a place!"
"It’s been pretty decent living here so far. Everyone has been nice and helpful for the most part. The only reason why I give it a star less is I wish they had more assigned parking spots for people who they know have multiple people living in their apartment and have a vehicle."
"The staff is very friendly and helpful. Natosha is excellent at her job. The apartments are getting older and don't have anything special about them, but they are clean and the community is nice. The location on Crescent Ave is quite good."
"We are new tenants; and really are excited about the amenities at The Tennyson. The management has been pleasant and easy to work with. We really appreciate the financial options that were provided, to make moving in, possible. We love the central location that makes it easy to get everywhere in town; and all of the close access to stores and restaurants. We're looking forward to enjoying our pool this Summer. Thank you for being pet friendly. We haven't found a new pet member for our family, since losing our beloved dog last year, in a emotionally difficult battle with cancer. We love being able to be around happy dogs, in a community that has provided such a supportive environment for them."
"We stayed here in a 3b3b apartment for two years (2020-2022) and had a generally positive experience. Here are the pros and cons in my opinion: pros: - most neighbors are very nice and respectful - close to Costco and a few decent restaurants and the human bean coffee shop, very convenient! - good location: away from the problem areas of downtown, so while we did have our catalytic converter stolen the first month of staying here, there were no break-ins or any other type of petty crime that you'd see in downtown (if you have a Prius, I recommend getting a bracket installed to prevent the theft of your catalytic converter, its very common in Eugene). - the amenities are nice (gym + pool) cons: - if you work from home the noise will be somewhat of a problem. The leaf blowers are maddening (I really hope they switch to electric leaf blowers some day). Also there are a lot of families and their kids usually play in the common areas. Its great that the area is so safe that people let their kids play unsupervised but there will be a lot of kids yelling and screaming (during daytime of course). if you don't work from home then you don't have to worry, the area is quiet at night in our experience. - The summer heat in the upstairs area: there is only one air conditioner unit covering the first floor. So the bedroom upstairs end up getting very hot. We actually had to sleep in the living room the first summer (fans wont do anything to help). The second one we got a portable AC unit (window mounted ones are not allowed), but it could barely cover one bedroom (only up to 8000 BTU units are allowed) and it would trip the breakers once in a while. These portable AC units are expensive, inefficient and draw way too much power. Oddly enough, when I complained about this on their tenant forum my post was deleted! - dog $hit everywhere: this is not the issue with the building, but one or two problematic neighbors - We were charged 1000$ for moving out (carpet cleaning, etc). Granted, we did spill coffee on the carpet. And my office chair caused damage to the carpet area upstairs. We had to move back to California after two years but I miss our apartment and our neighbors in Tennyson! And the chirping of the birds in the morning."
