"The staff are super helpful and friendly! Ben is the best, and is always there when needed. Staff communication is very appreciated! Access to covered parking/parking in general is so helpful. It's really great to have this resource and is not taken for granted. I really like my unit--it's cute--the third floor has vaulted ceilings and a skylight, which is incredible."
"Easy to work with so far and very nice! A little hard to get ahold of at times but always more than helpful once you do get ahold of someone. Sometimes there is no wait at all! I like to give credit where credit is due and Laticia and Laci have been very helpful in navigating the move in process and have worked with me every step of the way to find the best outcomes."
"The staff is the most unresponsive and impossible to get a hold of housing management. My apartment (and entire building) was full of roaches, the trash area is always a disgusting mess due to the homeless people that rummage through it on the daily. On that note there is homeless people screaming out of side the apartment every night. The laundry chance machine doesn’t work (it eats your money and doesn’t give you change) and hasn’t been replaced in the entire year I was there, despite multiple complaints about the issue. DO NOT RENT FROM BROADWAY CENTER, THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU!"
"Just moved out. In a nutshell, if you have other options exercise them. If not it’s not the end of the world. Pros: The office and maintenance staff are kind and helpful. Very pet friendly. The location is great. Cons: Literally everything else. My unit was not the kind of place I felt comfortable inviting friends. Decent size but dingy and not at all worth the price. Not at all a secure building. My neighbors’ cigarette butts were always on the outdoor stairs. I lived on the second floor and It was almost always boiling hot. If it was cold enough for heat I really didn’t need mine because if my neighbors had theirs on my unit was too hot. Essentially no natural light. There were bugs and it took forever for an exterminator to come out. When they finally came they didn’t have time for my unit and had to come back weeks later. It got to the point where I couldn’t leave an uncovered drink out/leave my dogs bowls out. The dumpster situation is bad."
"I lived in Broadway Center for five years. When I moved in, I loved it, but new management took over. Rent kept increasing, while we contantly got non-friendly notices threatening us with fines for dog poo on the property, and $50 rewards for turning in your neighbor. A public sidewalk is right along the property where people walk the dogs and they poo everywhere. And people only turn people in out of meanness and to get money. Everyone I knew when I moved in moved out, one by one, saying they could find a gated community for the same price as there. I moved in paying $600 for a studio. In the end, it was almost $800. In five years. Car was broken into- Rock thrown in a window, stuff stolen. Homeless stole my outside houseplants and chair. And yes, there were giant rats once because they tore up the street for maintenance and it opened up sewers. I had one in my apartment and called all weekend- no response. Like someone said, the apartments are dark- not much light. And very old appliances in them. And constant turnover of office staff when I was there. I left two years ago. They could have improved since then. I don't know."
