"We have lived here for almost a year now and the front staff has been wonderful. The grounds are well maintained and the staff is very friendly. We have a large dog and small child, both are safe and welcome in the community."

"Well, to start. Way too much money for what it actually is, considering a 3 bedroom on the outskirt of town costs more than a town house in downtown San Diego, and they’ll charge you MORE for roommates/ other humans. The gym is like a daycare half the time. Whole families in there with small children, not to mention it’s never heated in the winter. I’ve asked a few times and gotten ignored by the property manager to turn some heat on. The maintenance guys are great and always working hard no matter what the temperature extremes are, and they’re pretty on top of fixing something if needed. I tried it once and I definitely won’t move back. Parking SPOTS were promised at the beginning and we got one, plus a tiny, narrow, half a car garage that you can barely fit your car into, IF you don’t run into it at some point. And if you work late, don’t even think about having a parking spot when you get home. You’ll have to park far away and walk. Our downstairs neighbor was awful and kept turning us in for sound disturbances and came banging on our door at 11pm when we were all sleeping, as if she’s not surrounded by college kids to yell at us for not even doing anything. Some gym equipment was down for about a month, and the pool was locked a couple times over the summer for about a week each time. As far as the houses surrounding the rest of the neighborhood, I’ve been stopped and harassed by other neighbors to ask me what I was doing in the middle of the summer when I was exercising and minding my own business. As if I wasn’t welcome. The neighbors in the complex were okay most of the time. I’d be miserable too if I had to pay $3k/ month for a basic apartment in a small town alone. Not possible to live in financially without roommates, and even more so if you tell them you have some. People also aren’t respectful with animal waste at all, and the complex doesn’t hold residents accountable. The three stars are for the poor maintenance guys that literally do EVERYTHING to the point you can tell they’re overworked. In the miserable summer heat and after ice storms when everything is shut down. I can usually justify paying extra for amenities, but I can’t say I’m a fan when everything was inaccessible a good chunk of my time there, especially with how much money they make off of rent."

"Lived here for a year. Moving in we had a couple issues (apartment wasn't ready for a day, only had one key for a week). Price was okay but everything else was solid. Maintenance was fast and nice. The thin-twin washer dryer combo was not good at washing bed sheets or comforters, but I don’t think most units have them."

"I have lived here for three years and find the facility to be a wonderful place to live. It is safe, secure, clean, and quiet and the wonderful staff is very responsive to questions and requests. I would recommend the complex to anyone. The clubhouse offers many activities and the remodeled exercise room is great. I use the facility 4-5 days a week and do not need to have a membership at a fitness center. The complex setting provides a quiet environment away from the the hustle and bustle of town thus a safe protected living space. I can actually hear the birds chirp and sing without competing noise. "We've lived at Grand Oaks Apartments for about 2 years, and we love it here. They keep the area really clean and groomed. The maintenance guys are professional, whenever we need something fixed, they come in timely manner and they get it done. They recently upgraded the gym area so that's nice. One thing I love the most though is their hospitality. One time, we were out of town, and I received an email notice that my package has been delivered and left in front of our apartment door. We won't be home for a couple of days so we were worried that the package may not be safe outside for that long. But the office staff offered to pick up our package and keep it in the office for us until we come back. How awesome is that. Also 8 months ago, I gave birth to our daughter, and the office staff gave us a card, each of them wrote on it. What a nice gesture. We really feel at home here, would definitely recommend!"
