"I lived at the iHouse for a year (2020-2021). I really enjoyed my time there, the people I met, and the experiences I made. The house is very large and there is a lot of communal spaces. There is a large kitchen, walk-in fridge, storage rooms, ping pong, pool, foosball tables, dining area, excessive couches, and some other random study/game rooms. There is also a very large basement that is pretty much exclusively used for laundry and parties (helps with the noise a lot). The rooms are meh, nothing to special. Some have more space than others, and they can be a little hit or miss. Overall, they had a bed, desk, closet, some shelfs, but nothing more. I met some amazing people and grew a lot during my time in this house, and I think a majority of the people who have lived here have enjoyed it. That being said, the house is definitely not for everyone and it isn't some sort of utopia. It really is communal living at the end of the day. There are shared bathrooms, messes get made, everything is not always organized, things are misplaced, and there is always people around the common spaces. The building is also rather old, things break rather frequently, and sometimes the owners take longer than they should to fix it. The structure of the house is very much like anarchy. There is a house manager that lives in the house, but the owners do not live at the house and there are not many rules. The house really is as good as the people living in it will make it. I met some of the coolest people and many closes friends in the house, along with loads of great memories. I would recommend the house to others, especially international students (very flexible leases and great way to meet other people). Although there are people who just stay in their rooms and stick to themselves, if you don't want to deal with living with others than this is definitely not the place for you. I saw some pictures posted in another review and felt they were rather unfair. They were taken the morning after a party and having lived in the house for a year I've maybe seen it that dirty once or twice, and it was always cleaned shortly after. The main primary problem with messiness is the kitchen, but the manager does fine those who consistently leave messes. I took some pictures last winter that I feel are a better representation of the day to day conditions in the house. I hope you find this review useful. Before moving in I was very weary of the place as I heard some bad stories and mixed reviews. Not everything posted by others is wrong and there are compromises that need to be made when living here, but I think myself and the large majority of people enjoyed their stay at the iHouse and overall had a good experience."

"The owner/manager in charge Masoud is a great guy. He genuinely cares about the people who stay there whether they stay there for a short or long time. He always responds to inquiries in a timely manner and is super helpful. Not only that but you will meet some amazing people while staying here. All in all a great experience he makes the iHouse an iHome."

"I lived at iHouse for six months as an exchange student and experienced three different terms. I have written my master's thesis during that time and found a balance between working and partying. I can recommend it to anyone who wants to make long time friends and enjoy life. All commments below have some true aspects. However, what I learned from my different terms is that the house stands and falls with the residents. Some are just cleaner than others. It's a great social experiment to observe the behavior of people, who assume they're not responsible and leave a mess. But still, talking to people usually helped and each individuality can have a great impact on the state of the house with communication. I think nobody mentioned the system how the house is run, yet. The Nr.1 contact for the residents is the "acting director" who is living in the house as well. He will handle rent, check in/out residents and take stock of the weekly citchen chore (mandatory for each resident) and the cleanliness of the common ares. The director is the interface to the owners, which are no students and living somwhere else. The director can't fix/change major things in the house without the permission of the owners. The owners won't know of any damage, if nobody told the director. So again, communication is everything, which is the responsibility of you as a resident (if you care). So, if you get along well with people, go live at iHouse. You'll have a blast. But keep in mind to connvive the mistakes of your roommates. The state of the house is in each persons hand!"

"My experience at this place was amazing overall. I met so many great people from all over the world and we had our little community together. It was a perfect place for me to live during my upperclassman years at OSU. Granted, it wasn't perfect. The house is very old and it definitely shows in some areas. It's not always the cleanest either. But I think the reason anyone ultimately chooses to live here is for the community and opportunity to meet such a diverse group of people."

"I moved into iHouse on March 24, 2015, and moved out on June 18, 2017. I could easily write a long review about all the great, unforgettable and fun memories, and all the disappointing, outrageous and untold facts and happenings that I experienced during my stay, but I won't. "A picture is worth a thousand words." This morning, before I moved out, I went around the house and documented it's current state. It was an ordinary Sunday morning, the pictures were taken between 7:15am and 7:45am, after the Finals Week of a spring term... no major parties just the usual iHouse experience that you can easily see on every other morning (or during the day)... actually, it looks way better than half of the time, and I'm not kidding. There weren't too many pictures here, so I figured that someone might find them useful. About my time in iHouse I only say this: This place is not for everyone, it has lots of pros and cons, it's disgustingly dirty and really noisy, it's a party place and won't be easy for you to concentrate on your studies... but will definitely worth the experience. I had a great ride."
