"I've lived here over almost 7 years at this point. Management is wonderful, maintenence is taken care of ASAP and everyone on staff is kind. I love living here."
"Lovvve it! Been here for a year no AFFORDABLE! clean property with great community. Everyone seems to have a common respect for one another. Management is great as well as maintenance always timely and friendly. I have an apartment that previously tenants complained of mold so far I haven't seen or smelled anything. Going on 2nd winter. As for the high heating bills each apartment has a fire place that can be used for heating or get electric plug in ones that don't cost as much. The neighbors all around are great and kids should be out playing making noise thats a million times better than cooped up in a room with a screen! If you dont like others an apartment probably isn't for you. No matter how bad people make it seem it's really not especially with the prices of comparable places good luck finding better in the same price range."
"Beware of the mold! I moved into these apartments and lived there for around 3 years because in comparison to other apartments at the time, these were affordable. I was not aware then of the high rent increases that occur each year, not once while I lived there was there not a rent increase and it was usually around 50-100.00 a month! There was a serious mold problem when I lived there, I was told by a couple people told that I smelled like mold...all of my clothing, suitcases and everything pretty much that was stored in the closest reeked of mold! I had to get rid of stuff when I moved due to the mold. One day I was walking up the stairs and my downstairs neighbor had his door open, the smell of mold was so strong, I nearly gagged! Mold is toxic to our health, it's really a crime nothing was done about it. I believe since these apartments are so old, the mold must be in the walls. I know they redid the siding on some, however a friend of mine who still lives there has an apartment that still smells of mold. And they used to have a "display" apartment that they used to show people, it smelled like mold also! A lot of the time I lived there, i didn't feel good.... The cupboards are still ugly brown Formica from the 70's, the apartment doors are scratched and peeling (some are an ugly orange color). Due to the poor insulation, it is very hot in the summer and freezing in the winter, it's a constant battle to get the temperature right. Plus a high electric bill to go along with it. The office people are pleasant and helpful but the property management company doesn't seem concerned about much except raising the rent to make more $$$ Look elsewhere, you can find a better apartment for nearly the same price (hopefully) without the mold! Plus it' noisy, you will hear your neighbors through the wall if you live upstairs (unless you live on an end unit)."
"Lived there 7-8 years. Well managed. The manager is a REAL person, who takes care of business, but has compassion. Maintenance is usually reliable for me. The ground are usually well kept, but the landscapers (contracted) have made mistakes sometimes. My worse complaint is upkeep of the fireplaces, but they're trying to catch up on that now."
"If you move here because you think it is a good deal, think again. It is not kept up well although they sure keep up on increasing the rent every year! This year an increase of 100-200.00 and last year nearly 100.00 per month. The outside has not been washed in the last at least 6 years, dirty windows and chipped dirty doors, they just recently replaced/painted the stair railings which were literally falling apart. In the winter, I can smell mold walking by the outside of some buildings (mold in the walls?!) Trashy and noisy - kids running around screaming, yet their parents could take them to the play area at the park which is seconds away, people blare music and have parties all day and sometimes well into the night. Not to mention if you are back by the storage area, you can hear people start and work on their vehicles, if you are by the basketball courts you can hear them play basketball sometimes late at night. Due to the single pane windows, you will feel the heat in the summer and the cold in the winter...and your utility bills will reflect it. Also, if you share a wall with a neighbor, expect to be woken up throughout the night due to noise. As I am writing this, I can hear neighbors across the way arguing., plus music they are playing. I have been woken up on at least two occasions to people arguing in the parking lot out front, also there are car alarms beeping in the middle of the night ect. Not exactly high class unless you like to hear your neighbors argue or random people walking/driving through the parking lot (one women was yelling/arguing with someone who was walking through the parking lot to their apartment so I got to listen to it all) If you are out of state and thinking this is a good deal, again, think again. With everyone moving here thinking it is cheaper, it will keep going up as it has been for the last at least four to six years. when I moved in here around four years ago, it was 735.00 for a two bedroom, it has now nearly doubled I believe. So, with everyone moving here, I think it is pretty safe to say that you will keep seeing a significant increase in rent here each year."
