"Way overpriced for low, poor quality apartments. Mice, mold, poorly insulated original windows from 1969! Management is less than interested in following up or FOLLOWING THRU on anything you bring to them. Dog waste all over the property, owners don’t pick up after their animals, dogs are running around off leash - even the aggressive ones, mold/mildew and mice…and management doesn’t even acknowledge or follow up on any of it."
"A little worn down and old inside with maintenance problems like a lot of comments have been saying. There was a very very slight mold problem in the bathroom. There isn't much to the complex and the storage units weren't available although they are still advertised as available. With that being said, the price is not bad at all considering you'll most likely be paying just as much in any other part of town for the amount of space, but here you won't be living around crackheads and rude people. Apartments are located in a very nice part of town on the westside. Feels much safer and nice to live in in general than many other parts of town. Majority of the people in the complex and Garden Home neighborhood are friendly and courteous (not to mention insurance rates and crime is much lower in SW). The Garden Home marketplace with a Starbucks, Great Clips, Shari's, etc is conveniently located about 50 feet from the apartments which is a HUGE plus. Management was courteous and had no problems with getting back deposit money or being overcharged for that or rent."
"Live here for years, always paid on time and was a good tenant. Then water started to seep up through the floor and by the time I found it my room was saturated in black mold. I became very ill and went to management about it. We were told that we were going to be evicted when we couldn't afford the increase in rent and then on the street in less than a month. Oregon law doesn't hold apartments responding for mold issues. The maintenance crew just bleached the walls and painted over it. Black mold isn't killed this way. If you look into renting with these guys (and apartment owned by their company) and you smell mold when you walk into a place, just leave. If you smell mold, then mold is growing in that space. I'm now disabled and living with family. Have been disabled for a couple years. Be careful, your health is more important than a nice location."
"Overpriced 70s apartment with no updates. Everything is old and junky, you can put your hand inside the wall where the carpet and wall meet. Pieces of crumbling wall in the carpet and since this place was built in 70s there's probably lead. The windows are the worst, single pained and always damp with condensation. Their solution during the winter is to leave them open so mold doesn't grow. So you can freeze because they are too cheap to put in windows that are energy efficient and don't have water dripping down them. The heaters in the bedrooms have one setting and it's full blast or nothing. You get one parking spot and the whole lot is cramped. The place is not worth the rent charged, you can find better with laundry in unit for a little more and with the dumpy expensive laundry on site you'd probably save money paying extra for in unit laundry."
"i wish i could give 0 star. Terrible apartment. 2 bedrooms with one parking lot, so i have to park on street and sometimes terribly the parking on street is full, so i can't park anywhere else. So if you have family or roommates or friends to live with, don't go here please. The management is horrible, impersonal. They did not send me anything before my lease end. Now my lease about to end i told them i'm moving out and they said i have to pay for 30 days notice and said they sent me a letter but they did not. Our current rent is $785 now they charged us $1,180.00. is it a joke? $400 more. I am really upset now and don't know who to calls. Only the thing i can do now is writing this review to let people know how bad people are here. Moreover, the molds are all over apartment, we try to turn on the fan all day. it's still there. In the rain season, water is all over place. I am so pleased that i'm out of here now."
