The Macleay Apartments

"There's so many great things I can say about these apartments and the property management. In my opinion, this is one of the best apartment options in NW Portland. They are located on 29th ave which is close enough to town to walk to restaurants, bars, work, etc. But it is also far enough away to where you feel like you still have privacy in a cozy location. A huge plus is that there's no thru traffic on 29th other than people that live there, so you never hear street noise or anything like that. My favorite thing about this apartment was being at an entrance of Forest Park. So you can literally go hiking for hours EVERY DAY!! If you have a dog, this place rocks because you can immediately walk your dog in beautiful Forest Park super easily. These apartments are considerably cheaper compared to other housing situations in the area. I truly believe this is the best 'bang for you buck' housing situation in NW Portland. All of the neighbors are wonderful. Super nice people everywhere. It was never noisy at all. The property management was awesome too. Everything was always super easy. The few times we had maintenance or inspections or something, it was super easy and all of the staff here are very nice and welcoming. Laundry rooms were always clean, never had an issue. Never had any issues with parking. Never had any problems with mail. This was probably the most professional and efficient property management company I have ever been around. Willow Finney is the property management here and she is by far the best landlord I have ever had (and probably the best I will ever have). Willow is super sweet, down to earth, and very easy going. She made both me and my girlfriend feel very welcomed when moving here. She was very helpful anytime I had any questions and even coordinated little get togethers outside so we could socialize and meet our neighbors. How sweet! Willow was not just an amazing landlord, but also a great neighbor and friend. I can't recommend these apartments enough. If you're thinking about it, go ahead and do it. I promise you won't be disappointed."

"Amazingly cozy and quiet apartments nestled right across the street from Forest Park and just a 5-10 minute walk over to 23rd Ave's amazing restaurants and shops. Can't say enough good things about the location! The building is well run by the amazing, Willow Finney, who has been hands down the best property manager that I've ever had the pleasure of working with. She's quick, attentive, and not to mention super funny! Just an all around great operation. I really could go on and on about the experience my girlfriend and I have had here but it'd probably be better for you to experience it for yourself! It's the perfect apartment for those looking for a true Portland experience as it relates to all the best things that the city has to offer. Between the great dining, fun outdoor activities, and the friendliest staff and neighbors you'll definitely be happy to call this place home!"

"I have lived at The Macleay for over a year. I Moved here from a quiet neighborhood in Beaverton, so you can imagine what I could have thought about a place this close to the city. It's perfect folks. Quiet and calm living peacefully in the apartments by the woods and I don't plan on leaving anytime soon."

"Loved living at Macleay! The apartments are well-kept, have beautiful balconies surrounded by green, and are steps away from a forest park entrance. The area is nice & quiet, away from the craziness of 23rd but still within close walking distance. Management is only a text or email away and responds quickly. Rental applications, lease information and payments are also all online (if you wish) which I find extremely convenient."
