"It's a calming place if you're alone and there are no atrangers inbound, and it also comes with rocks that you can skip; though some rocks are not flat, others are capable of skipping twice or more. However, look out for any landslides since the mud is very slippery; my dad and I almost fell."
"I had an amazing time kayaking with Willamette Tides! I was nervous since it was my first time, but Travis and his team put my fears to rest. After speaking with them, I booked my ride the very next day! They were friendly, knowledgeable, and patient (I had many questions!). And I felt completely safe out on the water. They provided all of the necessary equipment, basic instructions, and tips/suggestions to make my ride even better. I would absolutely recommend Willamette Tides to anyone interested in getting on the river, experienced or not! And I will definitely be back next summer!"
"Amazing experience way more exciting than expected and the staff were great they truly provide it all. Will do again multiple times next year. Our 6 year old son and my husband had no experience on the water and they loved it and we all did a great job, even in the rain at the end!! Thank you so much for the opportunity. And hope to use this service again next year."
"We've taken two trips with Willamette Tides and we love them! It's a great value- they provide all the equipment including life jackets, give you some safety training, drive you to the drop off spot, and help you out of the river when you get to the pick up point. This time we were a group of 8, including 5 and 9 year old boys and their 75 year old grandpa. We rented the 2 person kayak, 2 tubes, and the raft. I recommend using the oar with the tube- some people don't, but I find it easier to maneuver. The only thing to be aware of is that you will have to walk down and up short trails to and from the river. They are very short, but a little steep and you have to be careful on a few rocks going down. But hey, gramps made it fine, so you probably can too!"
"This is such a cool idea. Way more included than what I originally thought. I stopped at the booth by Michael’s Landing and decided on a 1 hour float in a kayak. The river was running kind of fast, so they offered me the 2 hour float for the 1 hour float price. They provided life jackets and a cooler and the shuttle ride. I signed a waiver and they took me by shuttle to the put-in location which was a 5 minute drive away. We had paddles provided. It was safe for me and my 7 year old son. We even brought our small dog! Then they met met at the pick up spot. It was nice to enjoy the outdoors and nice weather. I’m excited to come again and rent the bigger rafts with several friends."
