"Dirty rooms. Saw three roaches. An earwig was picked off my fella's leg. Ran out of hot water in the shower two consecutive days."
"Visited this little gem few times in 2022 and i loved the peace and natural beauty around this place. Why to spend high costly rooms in franchise hotels where you get everything in small motels like Shady Oaks Roseburg Oregon. Friendly staff and great services. I highly recommend :)"
"AVOID! I got BED BUG bites all over arms/hands, neck and legs/ankles! Do not stay here! The only reason we did is our car broke down and that was the closest area to tow. Can’t expect much in those kind of circumstances, but bed bugs will make your problems worse! Sheets had cigarette burns in them, dirty laundry/trash/food under bed, mold and hair in the shower with broken tiles. When addressed with manager they said the cleaning lady had to go the hospital for an appointment and must have “missed a few small things.” But he offered nothing else and even asked for me to leave a good review after my complaints. Bad business that cuts health/cleanliness corners! Avoid in all circumstances, even a broke down car or emergency! Your problems will only grow!"
"Horrible. Absolute filth. Was called said our rooms were ready. We get there and the place was filthy. Nothing done . Beds not made, garbage, floor, stains all over the floor. They came to service it, I still used my leathers to sleep on. There was no way I would crawl into that filth to sleep. Nothing been updated I think since the 70's. He comes the next morning says he's gonna shampoo the carpets. Dude it needs tore out and replaced, along with the rest of the filth. And for$120. I would not pay for that. & Didn't. My brother did. I was ready to leave. I will never go back. Sad it has potential, but with the owner. NOT!!!!!! Seemed like a nice guy but you obviously do not know what clean is."
"So, if you're spoiled by high-end hotels, you might need some time to adjust. This is a small, locally owned hotel first and foremost. Easy check-in, easier checkout, and super wonderful people...They had just put in new carpet and were in the middle of repairing damage some dude had caused to a door to a room and a dresser that was now missing drawer. But the beds are thick and firm and sheets are soft and warm, the heating works like a charm, they have a fridge, microwave and water kettle, and the staff were very good about replacing the batteries in the remote when it was dead. It could use some modern updates when they get the funds, but was cozy, cheap and better than the Days Inn which had several months of bedbug reviews. No bugs in these beds."
