"Room was DISGUSTING. Pictures online are probably from a decade ago. I did not expect much, but this was absolutely unacceptable. We could not stay the night due to the room being so poor. We tried to just use the hot tub, but there was a giant dead bug inside, even though the front desk person said it was cleaned that day. It definitely was not! No exterior lighting, so trying to even get to the hot tub was a hazard. The room was so gross, we did not feel comfortable at all. We knew within 10 minutes we just couldn't stay, and dropped the keys at the office shortly after checking in. I called 3 times to ask for my money back, but the manager was away, so I left my information multiple times. NEVER RECEIVED A CALL BACK AT ALL. This place is a ripoff. Do yourself a favor and book a room at the starfish manor if you want a decent room with a hot tub"

"There are only three redeeming qualities of this hotel, the location, view and the staff. If you are there on a Friday or Saturday, then you get the pleasure of meeting Felice and having her check you in. She definitely cares about the folks staying at the hotel. She is kind, outgoing and made us feel welcome. This place truly has a gem in Felice, I sure hope they appreciate her. Given the state of this hotel, I can only imagine the kind of rudeness she has to put up with, she most assuredly deserves a raise. Had we not been traveling with our pups on a three day weekend with no other dog friendly hotels available for 4 days, we would have left and gone somewhere else the moment we opened the door to our room. 1. It was a sauna, and the thermostat did not work. The windows did open, but there were no screens, the windows were only 24” from the floor and our pups could have easily jumped out. 2. Brown water from the tap in the kitchenette and the bathroom faucets and shower. 3. The cups had lipstick and the flatware had dried gunk, but there is a $25 fee if you leave dirty dishes. 4. There was a crusty used washcloth slung over the shower curtain rod. My husband and I have traveled quite a bit and are pretty easy going, but when you are paying over $200 a night, you at least expect clean and maintained. The owner of this hotel should be ashamed and definitely held accountable. I cannot imagine how many violations this hotel has or should have. It is too bad, because the location is ideal and again, the staff are outstanding!!"

"Very disappointed in the "renovations". No table and chairs to sit down for a meal or a game of cards. New flooring everywhere but in the bathroom was really nice. The bathroom should have been done also. The old tile with missing or discolored grout was not complimentary. Yes, I stayed here prior to refresh....but we had a table and chairs. View is amazing as always."

"Friendly staff Review of room 107. Room was clean. No issues there. Ocean view was nice. Slider door to the patio was nice. But….. There is no heat in the room. The heat source is a small plug-in mini fireplace type heater which has a loud whining sound to it. And the cord gets super hot pretty fast. It didn’t stay on for long. And The toilet… oh the toilet.. every 20 minutes or so, the toilet fills and runs for about 30 seconds. Tolerable during the daytime, but it’s super annoying during the night."

"We made an impromptu beach trip with our dogs. Called around to a few different places but it was hard to find a hotel that accepted multiple large dogs, then we found this little gem. The rooms (at least ours did, looks like they are doing some renovations) have hard wood floors, a cute retro vibe, beach access, and walking distance to a cool bar. We will absolutely be coming back. If you have dogs please treat the rooms well and don't ruin it for the rest of us. We brought bedding for our dogs and made sure the room was tidy before we left, I can't tell you how rare it is to find a little gem like this!"
