"Check your receipts. I noticed after leaving I had been charged $55 for a roll of electrical tape. When asked about it they said "he must have put the wrong price in," without apology. Apparently manually putting in prices depending on the situation is a normal occurrence here. A metal electrical box was $18 when a nicer version was $5 at home depot. I returned everything else I had gotten which took 5 minutes because "the credit card machine is old, and we have put to put it in manually." Other stores don't struggle with this. I gave a bonus star because they are close to me, which they have no control over."
"Lately I’ve just been going next door. Last 5 times I’ve come in, with or without a will-call, it takes 10 or more minutes to get any assistance. Sales people tell me they have what I need and when I go to pickup they are the wrong materials. I would say use them as a last resort until they can get some decent people back in there."
"Really snobby & intentionally not helpful. They're happy to just cut wire for you & let you leave. Zero care for what you're working on or effort to help you make sure what you're getting is right for your project. Fellow customers were more helpful than staff."
"I had a great customer service experience when I came in there to get by business name changed. It was entered incorrectly and i was always having a hard time with my orders because of that. The manager Mike Rivera stepped up to the plate and took care of it for me within five minutes. He could tell that i was frustrated and fixed the issue on the spot. Great customer service!"
"First, the positive - I was helped promptly, got good advice, and got the part I needed. I'm happy to pay extra for service/expertise like this. But how much more? The exact part they sold me for $53 I later found is sold for just under $20 at all the big box stores. When I called back to see if there had been a mistake, I was told that their cost for this part is $43. When I suggested they try sourcing the part from a big box store who sells it for under $20, I just got the phone equivalent of a shrug. So - good expertise, but at quite a cost."
