"It's very spotty, you may get great service but next time horrible service."
"At present I have 2 children working for this industry!!! As an elder over 55 I get stackable discounts on certain days of the month! As a veteran I again have more discounts on different days of month!!! Both come with employees and my discounts!!! These discounts will also work together from the 17th to the 25th of this month for family and friends discounts!!! Don't know of any other industry that will stack discounts for any reason!!!!!"
"Filthy! Man cleaning the woman's bathroom was rude AF! Don't shop here apparently it's a bad neighborhood and they care more about being robbed than helping customers. Worse shopping experience at a Fred Meyer ever!"
"We've interacted with 3 different Kroger owned groceries. The smaller store, actually called Kroger, in VA we liked well enough. But I will say, their self service register software is atrocious and nag'y. They need to take a lesson from Target. That's company-wide so we keep having to use it. In CO, we ran into King Sooper's and really did not like that store. HUGE and narrow aisles and very stressful inside, just tight feeling. Then here in OR we tried Fred Meyer. I have to say, of all of them, we liked that store the least. It was a big Walmart format, but significantly more expensive. $1.10 more than Walmart for a pkg of Pepperidge Farm cookies that I noted. $4.99 for a pkg of brioche hamburger buns with 4 (not 6, 4) in the pkg? Unacceptable. That was more than we paid at Whole Foods for a pkg of 6. Then there was the fact that (despite the fact I consider myself an experienced grocery shopper and an intelligent person) I was unable, with multiple products, to identify properly what was on sale / clearance. I had looked carefully at the shelf tags (which have the item name abbreviated in such fashion as to be nearly indecipherable) when I picked up the items. Well, guess I was wrong and given I stood there and stared at those tags to make sure I picked up the right item? sorta annoyed. I had to have the self serve person void 6 items then got to the the selzer water that had a huge sale sign (and no details other than pricing) and nope that also did not ring up at the price on the display. Well come to find out you had to have a digital coupon and buy 4 of them. WELL heck, when one just walks in the store to buy a few items one expects to get the pricing on the display signage. NOT interested in playing the digital coupon game with you Kroger. It was just a very negative experience to walk out with half of what you had picked up due to this type of 'misunderstanding'. It should not be that hard to buy something on sale or clearance. Then there was the check out software issue again, only this time because the employee had voided items it would not allow me to pay for the rest without her intervention and another five minute episode of button pushing. Just ridiculous. I would have given one star but the woman who was helping in the self checkout was so sweet and cute I added one for her. Needless to say, when one runs into that just as you're new in town... so not going back for more."
