"Knife river is a very good place to take dirt to dump dirt and get rock. Today was a I usually off day. They had several problems no fault of anyone it just happened. The scale was not working correctly. Their phone service was not working correct to call into the dirt dump , and getting rock was slower then normal. Overall knife river is a good place to go."

"Ordered 1 1/2” minus and most of the rock was pebble size with only a few being larger. So we have giant rocks that stick out that are ankle rollers. Was told the rock was very clean. It seemed to be mostly dust and dirt. The man driving did not seem to know what he was doing. He was told how to spread it but ended up leaving 2 piles and almost blocked our cars in. He backed up to a spot where he blocked himself in between the pile of gravel and a muddy slope. He messed up our driveway even more by trying to get out of this muddy predicament. When we called to complain the supervisor claimed the driver did not feel safe to do anything more. He didn’t feel safe because it was his own fault how he positioned his truck and sunk into some mud. All we wanted was either to get some money back seeing how we did not get the material or service we wanted. Even a half load of smaller gravel would help cover up the mess we got. But all the supervisor said (after we called him again even though HE said he would get right back to us after looking into this issue) was when we order from them again that he will do it personally. But we do not plan on ordering from them again. It is a shame it went that way for us."

"Poor communication and a lack of professionalism. After you get thru the jokes they don’t perform the work. I cannot get my car out of my driveway because 10”drop off. I asked them about this so they threw some 2x4 on the ground. Absolutely unprofessional."

"I'm here every day and it's a great place. Other than the dirt dump could do it right and make some money. Seems like they could care less unless they can't take that much. Enjoy the rock it is your only option in Washington county."
