"Really wish he could’ve said before cutting my hair that the hairstyle I wanted was the first time he’d had ever done it. I gave the barber exact specifics and he said “ok” and had me seated and started to cut but when I tried making small talk about the hairstyle during the process he revealed the bombshell and said he was (paraphrasing here) “gonna wing it and try his best”. Of course the photo I had shown him in addition to the specifics I gave looked nothing similar to the haircut I was given. One side of the hair is longer than the other, I asked for skin to not show for the slope and of course it clearly shows even from long distances, the bangs are sloppily cut not even to the eyebrow length I specifically requested. It’s a complete mess and could’ve been all avoided had he admitted before putting the clippers and razor to my hair that he had never done it before. Quite frankly I’m more angry with the fact that he never bothered to tell me it was his first time doing it before cutting my hair. It took me months to grow out my hair for the style I wanted and now I have to wait another couple months before going someplace else where they are upfront about wether or not they can do it and have them style it."
