"Had a baby and my curls had to go; I no longer wanted to spend so much time setting them after every shower. My hair has always been a challenge for hair stylists because I have multi-texture (fine and course) hair strands and a changing curl pattern. I knew that I needed someone that had a lot of experience to work on my hair, especially if there are chemicals involved. LeResh was awesome! She is very competent, health conscious, and goes above and beyond to ensure that the finished product is flawless. She recommended Japanese straightening (she uses top of the line Yuko brand) because this would avoid the minute amount of formaldehyde released with the Brazilian straightening products... We both wanted to be as healthy as possible because I am still nursing my baby. (I loved her mindset!!!) Towards the end of my first appointment, she noticed that a ripple remained in my hair, a tenacious spot. Honestly, it was barely noticeable. However, she had me come back to touch it up at no cost! And while I was there she also touched up my tips as she saw room for improvement, although I thought they were just fine. (She's very professional!) I have very long hair (mid lower back) and like I mentioned before a complex curl pattern. My first visit took 4.5 hours and I can't remember how long the touch-up took but I wasn't long... Either way, I thought she worked diligently. My hair looks absolutely beautiful and feels so healthy. I highly recommend LeResh!"
"I have been to Leresh twice now. She has exceptional knowledge of the Japanese straightening method and the results I have achieved are amazing. I had trouble starting both appointments on time, and clients are to wait outside and text their artist to let them in. I arrived ten minutes early and texted her, and then spoke to another stylist who said she checked on Leresh and she would be ready in a minute. Then I waited until 15 minutes into my appointment to be let in. She said she didn't know I was outside and she never got my text. This happened twice. For my initial appointment, I paid $550. When I came back for my fill, I was expecting to pay the quoted $290 she gave me at my last appointment. But nope, she charged me the same amount as my initial appointment, even with much less time and product used. I didn't even have all that money on my person so I had to write a check for the tip. It was confusing and I didn't want to argue, so I just paid to get out. Her office is comfortable and calm, the location is good, and she is personable and organized. Unfortunately, she has been very rough on my hair the both times I have been in. She tugs and yanks on hair with brushes, pulling at the roots and causing excessive pain and breakage. I explained to her how I have a medical condition which causes my hair to be a bit weaker than average, but she was still extremely aggressive with it and ripping lots of it out. I'm not sure if she was rushing the services or is not used to dealing with long, thick hair, but I don't know if I can go back. :( I tipped very well both times in an effort to convince her I was a client worth slowing down for, but I don't think I can deal with this experience again. My scalp stings and I shudder thinking of all the hair I lost unnecessarily. This would be the BEST place to come if she would slow down a bit more, use wide tooth combs at first, comb from the ends to the roots, and work out knots gently with a comb."
"I received the Japzillian service and was pleased with the outcome. Smooth, shiny, and silky hair again for at least 3-6 months. However, coming from someone who has been getting the Japanese Hair Straightening treatment since I was 15 years old and I’m now 30, this was the most I and my parents (during my teen years) have ever paid for this type of hair treatment. As a side note, there was not much of a difference with the Brazilian added to it, hair looked the same as it would after a Japanese hair straightening. After, everything including gratuity it was a little over $1,000. My hair is about mid-back length, thick, wavy hair. Islander hair as people here like to call it. I’ve received the Japanese hair straightening in Hawaii and Arizona and not once did it ever cost more than $600. While the experience and expertise is invaluable, $950.00 is way overpriced. Unfortunately, folks with unruly/curly/wavy hair, we can become desperate for straight hair and will pay whatever the price to be curl or frizz free. Because of this, you have the overcharge. Nonetheless, I encourage you to do your research and call around as there are just as experienced hair stylists providing the same service at a lower cost."
"LeResh completely transformed my hair. I am so incredibly happy with the results. I recommend anyone interested in Japanese hair straightening to go to her! I got the Japzillian; my hair looks and feels healthy and sheen. LeResh was completely professional and knew what she was doing."
"LeResh was Great!!!! My hair was very damaged from bleaching. She first recommended me to a stylist that again did an amazing job. I was then ready for a Brazilian Blowout. When she was finished, I was amazed how great my hair looked and felt. Its now been three weeks and my hair looks and feels just as good, if not better, from the time she finished. LeResh has made a lifetime customer."
