"My food was not good. Our waiter never came back to check on us. We ordered something to take home and it took the other waiter 3 times telling him and then I had to get up and go where he was standing and tell him again. Then he didn't get the lid on correctly and it got all over the box in the bag."
"Need to fix their name on Google. Was given a gift card for La Hacienda Real which had this restaurants address on it as one of it's locations. The names even both have Hacienda in them. Plus when you look them up on Google it takes you to this location on Google. To people who aren't as familiar with the history of businesses for every commercial building in Salem, Oregon , this would suggest that they are the same chain. I mean if you a new business taking over a building from the previous business owners, you may want to not make your name so close or at least let your patrons know they are different places with a sign by your register or front door. Especially since you've been open for about a year. That way when someone comes in with a gift card for the previous business, which was purchased 2 months prior to patronage, they don't find out that you don't accept their gift card that has YOUR address on it and practically the same name while also both being Mexican Restaurants. I'm surprised that with La Hacienda Real selling gift cards with your address on them for a year that this is first time you've had this happen. The way I was told "It's not our problem" when obviously a customer feels like their being manipulated out of a gift card and is refusing to pay full payment out of pocket, definitely is your problem. The bill was $57.50and our gift card was for $50 value. I left $8.00 cash and the gift card. 50¢ is the tip for trying to rip me off and asking for me to hand over my ID for 24 hours until l can pay the remaining $50. This is a problem I hope you fix. I had to be so hard cause fair is fair. You did not take adequate steps in setting up your business online to let people know what business they are actually at. Please contact La Hacienda Real and tell them to stop selling gift cards with your address on it. Also if you give them the gift card I left back you'll probably get your $50 for the flavorless food that I never enjoyed one bite of and made me sick. All around worse experience I've ever had eating out. Ever! Ever Ever! Ever Ever Ever!"
"My wife and I decided to try the Hacienda Mix, honestly with the chips and salsa it was plenty for two. It came with trout, shrimp, pork carnitas, and a skirt steak... and it was so good. The tortillas were homemade and delicious, we had some bloody marys and margaritas and they were also really good. The staff was also very nice and helpful."
"This was our first time and love this place. It used to be El Mirador, when we were last here. The food was tremendously and deliciously delightful. We love the beautifully textile colored-decor and relaxed ambience. The waiter was energetic, wonderfully nice and attentive to us. Also, credit to some other staff members who had checked in on us and as we left the restaurant, staff members were graciously farewelling us of a wonderful holiday and gratitude. We’ll definitely return for more of the friendly atmosphere and an aesthetically pleasing experience."
"The menu is huge, so sure you can find something you like. The tamales are only from meat. It's the typical "Mexican" restaurant with huge portions, a lot of cheese, and rice and beans. The taste is pretty ok. They serve chips and salsas for free, just like a Mexican restaurant."
