The Original Pancake House

"The OG original pancake house is a must try for everyone in the Portland area. They are a great option for a hearty filling breakfast/brunch. We arrived at 11 on a Saturday and had a 30 min wait as it was so busy! Once seated, service was quick and water refills kept going. Food did take a bit of time to come but was absolutely worth it. The portions are huge and the prices are reasonable. Their omelettes are packed with flavor and filling while their pancakes are incredible soft and tasty. Overall, highly recommend this place to anyone!"

"It's definitely "the" pancake house. It has a huge variety of pancakes, besides serving waffles, crèpes and breakfast food until 3pm! We've been also to the Salem location which serves equally tasty options, however, the Portland location feels like a trip to an enchanted house in the woods while savoring a morceau of soft scrumptious delight. The atmosphere is of a tight friendly community sharing a meal with family and friends in a quaint decor. It's not uncommon to have to wait for some time, but it's definitely worth it!"

"Took my daughter here for her birthday for brunch. There was a bit of a wait to be seated, but that was expected. The food was really quick, and very good. The whipped cream...best I've ever had! My daughter got chocolate chip pancakes, and she loved it! Wasn't too sweet, and it was a huge plateful. I got the bacon waffles. Texture was perfect. Not too soft, not too crispy. Sausage links were delicious. My partner got an omelet, and it was perfect for him as well. Would love to come back and try out other flavors One huge thing to mention, this building is not ADA accessible. I was thinking about bringing my 95 year old grandma here to try their potato pancakes, but there are about 10 steps to get in and out. It's an old building so it's grandfathered in. So unfortunately I won't be able to take her here. But the waitress did mention they are more than willing to accommodate if they can bringing plates, cutlery and whatever is needed for the disabled person to come and eat in the car or take the food to go."

"I came with a big appetite where my stomach was in pins and needles due to not eating before I left the house in Banks Oregon. This place has an adorable atmosphere and old time pleasant feelings. If you meet Grace or Engedi , they are phenomenal at what they do as host and waitress. The manager was amazing as well. You are sure to leave with a full stomach and a bright smile on your face every time"
