"First time here and it was delicious! The 2 front counter people were incredibly friendly. Also, the hongos y papas taco that was recommended to me was my favorite item! Queso asado taco was too salty for me, but still edible. I also got a bloody Maria to go and the staff went above and beyond to provide all the garnishes so I could easily recreate my drink at home. Will be back with a date!"
"I was waiting for a friend close by and saw several people leave with sacks of food so, yesterday i stopped in. Busy, cramped interior with a genuine Mexican flavor. I had a great short margarita, and chorizos (a Mexican sausage) tacos - both makes me want to return. Parking can be a challenge along Mississippi, but worth it."

"I hadn’t been to Por Que No in several years because we moved across town. Thankfully I was able to fix this mistake! The food, atmosphere, and staff were all just as good as I remember it and why it was my favorite. I ordered several tacos and a beer and my friend did the same. They were all excellent! Staff was super friendly and helpful. Great eats. There’s a reason this place has such a great reputation."
"Cute little taco house and bad in north east Portland. The pricing was pretty fair, and tacos themselves were decent. Three stars for the food since there is so much competition for amazing tacos in Portland, and this location was just okay. The service was great and the location itself has a great vibe to it. You can dine inside, upstairs, or outside which is plenty of seating even on a Friday night. I’m glad I tried the spot but I wouldn’t go against due to the amazing competition for tacos I Portland."
