The guy at the club house was a pretty cool guy... very helpful and over all great management! Clean restrooms... The course was well maintained and greens rolled very ture... crazy layout with rolling hills... brand new PERFECT carts! Rate 3.9 stars... go play it!!!"

"It's back open with some minor changes. If you remember what it used to be, things are better now. The course is still Shreveport's 3rd step-child after Querbes(Cities Money Maker) & Huntington, but alot of the severe out of bounds has been cleaned up. New carts and Hole arrangement."

"I grew up attending the summer golf program at Lakeside Golf Course and played in many tournaments there during the 1980s. A lot of seasoned golfers use to come there to play several rounds to get ready for a tournament that was taking place somewhere else. They would tell me and my classmates that if you could handle this course, you could handle any course. My dad and Mr. Jerry Tim Brooks were good friends and my parents enrolled me into the golf school when I was in the 3rd grade. I have a lot of good memories of that place and I learned a lot too."
