"I was trying to go back to work after 10 years of retirement and I wanted to get in the tanker side of trucking because overall I think it's best and this company just doesn't seem to want to train as I have trained before with them 20 years. I had good memories of working for this company even though the pay wasn't top-notch I only had one year experience with them so I understand the pay. The company just changed so much since the original owner has passed, so maybe it's best that I look elsewhere. After I spoke to a recruiter at this location they're definitely not interested. I guess the lawsuits from them not paying people correctly hurt them financially and they basically stopped their training is what it seems to me."
"Good size drop lot nice and quiet for parking but you must go 5 mph or under with all the potholes and mud holes if you think a Freightliner would shake you up you haven't been in this lot yet. But it's a secure lot and it's quiet"
"Always park here rather than Reserve. Huge lot. Sucks though when it rains because it's all mud. The gate is easy to miss in the dark."
"To avoid making any u-turn which breaks company policy is headed north on la1 take the 190 West exit and come back around to la1 South. If coming from airline highway North crossover the old bridge and then down Louisiana One South. To avoid la1 North options one can exit on 415 North to 190 East and down Louisiana One South this would avoid any potential u-turns. Also if coming from 190 going east exit at Louisiana one South. There are many ways to get to this drop yard there is a dumpster and portolette available for drivers. There are landing pads for proper placement of the trailers to the right of the entrance. Many people drop the trailers directly on the gravel however it is preferred that Schneider trailers be dropped on the steel landing pads just to the right of the entrance. These have been provided so that it avoids any sinkage of heavy loads. If there are spots on the landing pad please avoid parking to the left of the entrance where most people place them it is safer to use the landing pads which are still plates located on the right. Speed limit is 5 mph and it is posted by the owner. Speed bumps are present to distourage any speeding and avoid creating more potholes or shifting of freight or potential critical events due to shifting of the truck. Overall it should be an easy in and out experience for those that have to come to this yard. Be safe and have a wonderful day."
"Getting and out is not fun at this drop lot. You would have to do a U turn to get there from the South and a U turn when leaving north. This would be against the rules as well. You have to go find a road down the street which you can make turns to get back where you want to go. Two thumbs down."
