French Quarter Mansion

"Rented from Airbnb. When arrived the television was broken, but they had it replaced the next day. A couple days into our stay a large mirror which was hung in the bathroom fell while we were out and we immediately contacted the host. Upon inspection it had been hung in plaster with an old nail and the hole was quite large. No surprise it fell. Nothing was said while we were staying, however, our review on Airbnb was negative and French Quarter Mansion blamed us for the broken items, which were in fact, not at all our fault. The property is in an excellent location, no elevators, so the stairs are difficult to get luggage up, but overall, not a horrible place. Balcony is not actually on Bourbon Street, and is shared even though it says "private." I had no real issues with this property other than that, but was incredibly disappointed to find out the host blamed us for things because of their poor maintenance."

"Rooms had nails in floor that poke your feet if not wearing shoes. Hot water worked one night for less than 5 min. Could not get a response from management. Tried calling and emailed and we still have not received a response. Bit of a stretch to claim balcony rooms are on bourbon street. Can see bourbon street from balcony but not on bourbon street. Can hear everything outside because of single pane windows. This includes the street sweeper that came by every morning around 4 AM. AC unit dripped water in room so bad we had to turn it off. Very old charm but i would not recommend you stay here."

"My wife and I had an amazing stay. The room was big enough for the two of us and it definitely gave us that true New Orleans feel we were looking for. The building has so much character (we loved the courtyard) and learning about the history was a plus. The staff was super helpful, the rooms have lots of pretty details and the complimentary champagne with orange juice was a winner for my wife. You can't beat the location, all the good restaurants and bars are walking distance. We can't wait to be back."

"We stayed in room #2. It was a beautiful room with a great courtyard to hang out in, which we did often. My only complaint is how dark the room is, sometimes the lights didn't seem to do us justice. Also, the tv remote is really hard to use, took us a good 10 minutes just to figure out how to turn the tv off when we arrived. Other than that, great stay and great location."
