"I have never been so violated as I today by the office staff. The maintenance man fixed my sink then reported to the office I had a guy in my apartment and my apartment was in disarray. The guy was my grandson that stays with me SOMETIMES, and why would he come to my house then carry stories back to the office??? This is so invasive!! Debbie called me 2 days in a row asking who was the guy...knowing dam well it was my grandson. She said his car was parked in the parking lot illegally, because he's not a tenant and could have it towed. Debbie and Bonnie made several accusations, accusing me of not living there, saying "I'm never at the apartment". How out of line...I work till late and when I get off work the office is closed, so how the hell do they know what I'm doing.....IT'S NOT THEIR BUSINESS! Bonnie then confronted me about my apartment being in disarray....Really!! I didn't know we had inspections, and know this is HARRSEMENT and INVASION OF PRIVACY 100%.. Total Harrsement! Why would the maintenance man enter my house and then report ANYTHING to ANYONE! INVASION OF PRIVACY FOR SURE! I was then told my stuff isn't in the apartment, but his stuff was! MORE SPECULATIONS & ACCUSATIONS! I mean REALLY! I'm being interrogated, and I'm very uncomfortable! I was asked where do I sleep at night? SERIOUSLY!!!! ARE YOU SERIOUS!!! THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE! I asked to speak to the corporate office and Bonnie said it's privately owned, and the owner doesn't talk to tenants. REALLY! The owners first interest should be the tenants and how they are treated!!! I've been a corporate general manager for 30 years and have never heard of a business with no superiors above the office staff. I'm sure the office will retaliate against me when they see this review, but honestly, they already have. Business interactions should always be based on facts, not speculation! Lastly, I was told I would be TRACKED, and I told them when they do, come with the surveillance, because I want to see it. INCREDIBLY UNPROFFESIONAL!!!! SO VIOLATED!!!! I was discriminated against, and my character was unjustly defamed. OWNER READ THE REVIEWS ON YOUR BUSINESS"

"I was a tenant of home store properties for almost three years and I loved my apartment and the management company. I moved from out of state for my job and had a hard time finding a home not knowing the area at the time, but Debbie and Bonnie were very helpful! The onsite team at my apartment complex were always so sweet and professional, and the property was well maintained. The apartments are brand new, the pool is really nice, and in a great location in Old Metairie."

"DON’T RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE!!!!!! I lived there for 3 years and got an unexpected letter the I had to be out in a month. They refused to give me back my deposit saying the carpet was new when I moved in and I have pictures and video that it was NOT. They will ACT nice but won’t fix ANYTHING in the apartment. Debbie is rude and Bonnie is her doormat. Take my advise and find something better. The apartments are not even worth it for the price."

"The worst company you could possibly rent with. Debbie, the office manager, is the rudest person i have ever met. If you’re looking into renting with them, DONT. Run the other way. Renting with someone off the streets would probably be 100% better than Home Store Properties. Made us move out with barely 30 days notice. They do not care about their clients."
