"If your toddler acts like a toddler then this isn't the place for you. They only want well behaved children who sit in their chairs and play quietly. They will also kick your kid out without warning in the middle of the week. And my sons teacher refused to acknowledge him when he kept trying to tell her goodbye over and over as well as placing his backpack outside of the room instead of inside with the other kids backpacks. My child wasn't violent either, he just had a problem with throwing himself on the ground when it was time to go to and from the classroom. And apparently that's too much for them to handle. Do yourself a favor and skip this place if you have a child that acts like a child. Edited to add: when they say they worked with us for weeks, it was 2 weeks and the school was closed for holiday and inclement weather in between. They barely worked with us before booting him out."

"Do not place your child with them. They will not follow court orders. They will do absolutely nothing to protect your child even if you have court orders. Missy is the director she will ignore you as a parent and ignore any court order you bring to them. And when they break it and you ask that they follow the court order given they will kick you out. The director admitted to me that she was wrong about allowing someone who the child had a restraining order visit the child they don’t care about your a child’s safety or well being."

"My 3 year old child experienced their first day at The Anchor Early Learning Center yesterday. Before the first day, the tours we did were great, the conversations I had with Missy and Kelsey were great and overall, the place looked great, albeit dated and very drab. We were very excited for our kid to start. This is their 2nd daycare and we chose them because of the curriculum and location. 45 minutes into their first day, I receive a call to pick them up as they have been removed from the program for hitting a teacher and knocking a chair into another student. Clearly, this is very unacceptable behavior and is not tolerated, but is also very out of character for them. When I picked them up in the next 15 minutes, there was no discussion about the situation. Here's your bag and "we wish you the best of luck and we're keeping your $100 admission fee". I feel like we dodged a bullet, honestly. A 3 year old is having a rough time adjusting to their first day at a new day-care (they'd been at their other one since 6 weeks) and at no point is there a conversation with the parent about if this is normal behavior for the child or if they have any suggestions for dealing with them. Even a phone call saying, "Hey, they're not having a great time, can you come back and pick them up and try again tomorrow?" would have been nice. Nope. Just, don't come back. If they don't know alternative methods for dealing with a toddler throwing a temper tantrum on their first day at a new school, then where else are they lacking when it comes to dealing with developing children? Red flag #1 should have been the lack of online reviews and the glowing 5 star review from the director (Missy), especially on Facebook, where everyone has a comment about everything. We're not unrealistic parents. We know if our kid is being a little terrorist. Our 3 year old was not afforded the opportunity to grow and develop here, because the Anchor ELC judged him on a 45 minute interaction with no parent involvement or discussion (despite eagerness). Security is horrendous, by the way."

"My son has been there since was 8 weeks old and he is 2 now. He can count, he can identify all his alphabets, shapes and numbers and he is safe. My daughter is in the nursery and it’s the most loving environment that she could be in. There is no such thing as a perfect daycare but I do believe Missy and the teachers love the kids."

"My little Emma goes here and she is in the 4yr old class with Miss. Maria. We love it here! It is an extremely nurturing environment and very safe entry system to protect our sweet kids! They use the Abeka curriculum (which is awesome) and the weekly tuition is extremely affordable!"
