"If I could give my experience no stars I would. I went to the website and sent an email regarding availability. I soon received an email stating there was units coming available & I was given a date and time to tour the property. However, the day I arrived no one answered the office door. I waited almost 2 1/2 hrs to be seen. I called the number that had text me that morning to see if I was still interested. I eventually left with NO response from anyone. If this is how they operate then it was a blessing in disguise! Please be careful when communicating with the Avery. I wasted my time and fuel to with not even a call back or anything to provide an explanation. Off to a better place!"
"I had the pleasure of staying at The Avery for a few weeks; I can say that in the past it may have been bad, but it is no longer that way. Maintenance is by far one of the best in the few places I've stayed in the past two years, as I travel for work; Ron was quick to fix an issue I reported and management is friendly, knowledgeable about his property, and very helpful. I was able to see numerous units they had available and they by far have choices for everyone's needs, style, and family size; plus you can't beat the deals they offer every month, there is always a new special. The pools were very clean; though not refreshing due to the Louisiana heat. I am a night owl and stayed by a pool during my visit and it was quiet; during my morning walks, I didn't see many kids out without their parents. Anytime I seen a kid, the parent was with them; even while waiting on the school bus. Pros: maintenance, clean-remodeled units, great landscape, laundry on site, two- luxurious salt water pools; so no chlorine stink, the office was open Monday thru Friday 8a.m. until 5 p.m. with numerous friendly staff to help with all my needs. Cons: Louisiana heated pool in summer when you want to refresh. Not enough dumpsters for all needs or tenants. Dogs without leashes, and pets you don't want in townhouse living waking you up. I would recommend The Avery for their amenities, specials, pricing, and location."
"Been here about 7mths really was last minute and just needed something decent to live around town. It was really good in the beginning but we had to move from our old condo and this was next best thing or so i thought. Old management was ok, never had issues with her, i am always at work so i barely be home but when new management took over beginning of this year it was still fairly decent. Besides washing machines barely working, dog waste stay around our front door area, i understand ppl love dogs but if you can't pick up your dog waste in front of somebody's yard, why have one. Main issue is the new manager. Very disrespectful is all i am going to say. I wish i was home when she got into my child's mother face. That is not professional and she's too old to be doing that. If she is going to take up for her daughter's lies then we really don't need to live there cause it will only have more drama. With her daughter's attitude she will have her hands full and hiding behind mommy with the lies won't last long. Other ppl might not be that nice to her. Not too many options left after Hurricane Ida. To anybody thats looking to move here i'll pass. No sense in living in a place where a lie can cause more issues all cause kids make noise. It will save you the drama and from possibly going to jail cause of the manager and her messy daughter."
"New owners, new management. Forget all the good reviews you can read here and avoid that place at all cost. The houses are old and in really really bad shapes : floors are not straight and broke our bed. No light in the living room. Once a month the water in our bathroom is brown. Just a look at the doors and you can tell they dont really care about their people they are just after the money. The neighborhood is not good neither. Dogs doing their needs all over the place. Party during the week until 11pm and nobody cares dont waste your time reporting anything. They'll just tell you "there's nothing we can do if you dont record a video of the dog actually doing it". Or "we gonna take care of it " and nothing moves. Washing machine room is absolutly DISGUSTING none clean up that room for sure same for the swimming pool. The water is so dirty you dont see your feet Pretty sure they wont care about that review but over 1000$ a month for that. You can find better place for sure at that price Maintenance guys are nice they probably do their best with what they have. And there is sooooo much more to say but I waste enough time with them"
"Apparently there is a new management. Yes, « apparently » because we never got a word about this new person. I’ve been living here for more than a year and this person has been here for 3 months and I still don’t know her name. So that gives it away already. If you’re reading this because you are considering living here : think twice. The place is absolutely not quiet as some people might say and kids are running around at night with no parent supervision. There are also rules that are not followed (pool supposed to be closed at 10pm but kids still playing in it at 10:30 and no parents around. So no need to say that if you live right next to the pool, your baby won’t have a good night sleep) Now let’s talk about the washing machines : half of them are out so we all fight for 5 working machines (and that’s when you don’t find something suspicious in one of them…) and yeah, they’ve been « working on it » since I arrived here. People are loud, leave their trash everywhere and there’s no consequences. If you are loud and have no respect for your neighbors then that’s the place for you. But if not, look somewhere else because management is not helping."
