"I brought my son for something in his nose. They suctioned his nose and said to follow up with an ENT doctor with Children’s Main campus. Children’s main campus ENT could not see him until 2 months out. I felt something was not right and I went to a private ENT doctor where they found a button battery lodged in his nose. Had they done an x-ray and looked better they would have seen the button battery and it would not have continued to damage tissues and corrode in his nose."
"Bought my son here for fever and he was holding mouth full of slob the doctor said he didn’t have the flu or strep and said you guys can go . No other treatments didn’t care a once and on the way out the doc says the test can be a false negative sometimes. Like sir either you know or you don’t you’re literally just sending us home and said to take Tylenol and ibuprofen when I’m telling you something is not right with my kid ! This children sucks ! The nurses are gray the doctors don’t love they job , doesn’t care about patient and get to self diagnosis every kid with the same thing just to send you on your way . Hate it 0/10 shut it down like now"
"I've been to this location 3 times with my baby and we were seen quickly. The nurses and doctors were very helpful. We left with answers. I'm surprised by all the bad reviews so I thought I'd add my good experiences in the mix."
"Let me just say this, this location is my go to ER for my children. Besides the wait times (which is understandable), I love this location. I don’t know if I just had a bad experience but I will tell you that doctor that seen my child I will NEVER. She told me to get “certain medications” over the counter because she doesn’t prescribe those medications. She told me she leaves that up to the “pediatrician” for “insurance purposes”. She’s a pediatrician by the way. I was just so annoyed because my daughter is in school and usually needs the prescription in a medicine bottle with a label. She really refused to write the prescription! I don’t care if it was an over the counter medication, it’s MEDICINE!!! The simple fact that I asked to speak with her again so she can explain to me WHY she didn’t want to prescribe the medicine for my daughter but she didn’t have the courtesy to face me, instead she went ahead and sent the prescriptions to my preferred pharmacy. Why does everything have to be so difficult. I came to to the ER for 2 reasons, 1 to see what’s wrong & 2. to get medicine. She’s a doctor and wouldn’t prescribe? THATS RIDICULOUS. For insurance purposes, you guys billed my insurance for the visit but wouldn’t give no medicine, NO MAAM. Just know once I left both prescriptions were sent over. I just didn’t appreciate that, because had I not advocated for my daughter, I would’ve had to spend money to get the prescriptions when I know indeed they may be covered under her insurance. What about those people who don’t speak up?"
"Children’s Hospital used to be top tier one of the best children’s hospital in Louisiana . In recent years this hospital has completely gone downhill. I hate it! Don’t get me wrong the Metairie location is amazing , but the Henry Clay one , is insane. They not put together at all. I grew up in & out of this hospital due to Asthma but disappointment is an understatement . I wouldn’t even send an ant here! We had a one day overnight stay , We were transported by the ambulance , which meant we had to wait on our ride once we got discharged the rn said my supervision wanted to know “when you’re leaving” we need the room as if I didn’t have a 2month old . As if my child didn’t have RsV. The refrigerator on floor 3 where you can get something to drink was nasty nasty. Everybody want to be a nurse but not everybody deserve the title. It’s hard to find good nurses these days . Do your Job!"
