Residence at River Bend

"I would like to add that the same night the patio door issue was handled by maintenance promptly. The oven rack issue was handled horribly the next day, I was given dirty racks with no apology but an attitude stating "I forgot ", and I get that. Everyone deserves a second chance, right? I didn't think my review was so bad, I'm just a honest person. I wouldn't have moved here if I didn't like it but if something is wrong, expect the truth! THE JOLIE AKA THE RESIDENCE AT RIVER BEND(UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT) Don't be fooled by the new name, it's still the same, no actually it's worse! This place has gotten a facelift but that's all they care about, the outside may look better but they care absolutely nothing about it's residents. The maintenance doesn't get done, the office workers lie very well....they will tell you that someone will be over to fix something just to get you off the phone; they will also close your service request with complete when they know it's not done. This is the worst experience I've ever had at an apartment complex and all I'm waiting on is for the end of my lease, oh should I mention that you have to pay for pest control and never receive it, having to still purchase bug spray. I would give it no stars, it's just that bad. Allied Management should be ashamed of allowing their employees to treat their residents this way. We just want to live comfortably and have our issues resolved in a timely manner without the attitudes and lies."

"My apartment was nice and very well maintained, maintenance always came when I called. My only complaint is that I don't think they properly vet the people who lease their apartments because there are a lot of drug dealers/addicts, especially near the back of the property, but I guess getting the rent money is more important than the quality of the residents. They are refusing to accept section 8 tenants who have been here for years even though they aren't the ones causing the problems. I think its discriminatory and wrong."

"Update part 3: I have nothing bad to say about the office staff or even the maintenance. What bothers me are the many shootings that's been going on and how it seems very little if anything is being done to stop it. A few nights ago I was awoken to the sounds of many shots and it sounded as though it was coming from right outside my townhouse! It was about 3:50am. Also I am damn tired of the water being shut off with no notice whatsoever. I get that pipes break but shutting every body off? And it won't be off for just a few minutes either, try about several hours or all day! Real fun when you are trying to take a bath! Recently we've gotten a new management team yes once again but I really do think the new management is already way way better than the last! Also have noticed that the maintenance team are alot more friendly and seem eager to help us out. The maintenance supervisor is really nice, always has a kind word and the rest of the crew are like that as well. A HUGE improvement in just a matter of months! Our new property manager seems eager to shape this place up yet seems friendly and approachable to the residents. All in all this new team is a BIG improvement from our previous one and I sincerely hope it continues to improve here. We've seriously needed a management team that not only will whip this place in shape like eradicating whatever bad element that was here but also being attentive and caring towards tenant complaints and/or issues for a long time! Looks like we might have finally found one. Kudos to the really polite office staff!"

"This is the worst apartment complex I have ever lived in. Please trust the negative reviews about this place and do not move your family to this hell hole. The apartments are literally falling apart. Any time there is a water issue they turn off the water every where without warning. I had it turned off on me while in the shower, as I was trying to cook dinner, etc. The complex is also infested with bugs. There are sugar ants everywhere and the insect spray that they charge you doesn't help the situation at all. The complex is also very dangerous. There have been shootings, people walk through trying car door handles, drugs deals are constant. The apartment complex has gone through so many managers and companies that the people in the office can't keep track of the records. When we moved out, they literally couldn't find our lease. Finally, once you manage to make it out, they're like a bad cancer that keeps coming back. We received a call from a collection agency 7 months after we moved out that claimed we owed the complex money for bills that we paid long ago. No phone calls, no letters stating why they believe we owe them money; just straight to a collection. The people running this complex would scam their own grandmother if they thought it would make them an extra buck."

"I lived* there for 2 years, it was terrible after the first management change. I loved the space and my view was pretty awesome, BUT- i would never recommend signing a lease here. If something happens, oh lets say... the ceiling waterfalls into your kids bathtub every time the upstairs takes a shower.. forget about that ever getting fixed... or not the mention the health hazardous black mold that kept growing, try cleaning it... you'll have a fun time cleaning up all that painted on porcelain that has chipped off. Or maybe you could sit back and watch your toilet over flow with the washer machine drainage bubbles over and over again, have your plunger handy and a few towels! i could go on, nothing gets done about it..ever. I even contacted the out side "general manager" ... yea... fail.. If you are looking for a 6 month place to stay, i guess it would be ok just pray nothing breaks. Oh yea, I moved out a month before my lease was up, still paying for the place and I went to check on it and it was ransacked.,... called the police and everything. They like coming to Quail Creek :D !!"
