"I would give 0 stars if I could. I saw this man while I was in high school from probably around 2014-2016 or 2017. I was between the ages 13 and 17 years of age. Every time Dad would bring me to the appointment, he was always late and we were forced to sit outside of the building waiting for him to arrive. His office where he performed services was always extremely messy. He had files everywhere, scattered about. He would have them stacked almost to the wall. Now, keep in mind I was a child, a teenager when I was seeing him. During the sessions, it would always some how turn out to be about him instead of me. He told me about his relationship that he had with the secretary who eventually quit because of their relationship. He even offered me a job as his secretary when I was 16. Because I am Christian I would bring up God pretty often in our sessions and he would always say “Disneyland in the sky.” It was honestly quite offensive and made me question my faith even more than I already was which wasn’t his job to do. All of this is completely unprofessional and should have never been discussed with a CHILD. he wasn’t and isn’t a real therapist. He knew all of my issues with myself and my family. He helped none. He actually failed to do real therapy on me. When I finally escaped my very toxic, and emotionally abusive family, my father contacted him. This physician called me and BEGGED me to return home saying that I will amount to nothing due to my actions. Saying that I will regret everything. Saying I don’t know what I am doing. The only reason why I’m making this review now, a decade later is because I found my old phone which had these texts on them. I looked him up and come to find out he was actually sued in 2020 for practicing with a suspended license for a client that was seeing him from like 2015-2017… mhm no wonder why his services weren’t legit. Why was his license suspended? Ethical reasons- I could see it. Anyway, anywho. It’s 2023. I am married with two kids. I’m starting my masters program in January and I literally couldn’t be happier. Dr. Cerwonka if you’re reading this- shame on you for taking advantage of people especially me, a child who actually needed help. I’m glad you got sued and honestly I hope you lose your license forever. If he’s ever practicing again and you’re considering picking this physician, DON’T."
