"The visit with Dr Fontenot is good but the staff especially the nurses station particularly HIS NURSE PRACTITIONER Vanessa NEVER CALLS YOU BACK OR CALLS YOUR PHARMACY WHENEVER YOU CALL HER!!! Even my pharmacist faxed her some IMPORTANT DOCUMENTS that is requesting a signature from Dr Fontenot THREE WEEKS AGO AND THE PHARMACIST HAS YET TO RECEIVE THEM!!!! The WHOLE ENTIRE NURSING STAFF ESPECIALLY VANESSA NEED TO BE REPLACED IMMEDIATELY IN MY OPINION HERE!! THEY ARE MESSING WITH PEOPLE’S LIVES HERE!!!!"
"I used to be a patient of this office. I hadn’t been since covid. I tried to make an appointment, was told I needed another referral. I got the referral sent in, here it is a month later and I still have no appointment. I did call a week after referral was sent and was told by the not so nice receptionist that she would call me when she got to me. My GP called to check on my appointment and was told there aren’t taking Medicare anymore if you aren’t 65, although I was already a patient. What difference does age make? Medicare pays no matter how old you are!"
"I drive from over an hour to see the physician's at Lafayette Arthritis and Endocrine Clinic. The rheumatologist are wonderful! I have only had good experiences until recently. I was literally chewed out by Miss Wendy when I called regarding my prescription. While my doctor takes labs when I visit, she tore me apart because my labs weren't taken three months after my last visit. "They are too busy to schedule labs for the many patients that they have," she said. That is my responsibility. Again, my rheumy takes labs when I visit. She went on so much that I forgot to tell her that my GP had taken labs. They had not sent them. When I told her that I wasn't trying to argue with her, she got even more ugly and said, "I can't tell you not trying to argue with me. You sound like you are." She continued to talk and wasn't even listening to me anymore. SHE WON! I GUESS SHE WAS HAVINGH A BAD DAY! In the meantime, I need meds! I asked her what will she have me do? She said she would send my order to my GP to have the labs taken. I'll call him during business hours tomorrow so he can send the labs he has already taken. I called back to inquire how to get a referral to another rheumatologist. Another lady answered. She was kind. I'm sure she had already spoken with Miss Wendy. When I asked her of my request, she suggested that I wanted to leave their clinic because of the distance. No, I absolutely enjoyed this clinic and the physicians and I looked forward to my commute. I don't deserve or expect to be spoken to in that manner by anyone in a physician's office. I'm leaving because of Miss Wendy!"
"They were great when I first started going, but now they value money more than patient care. I desperately need my thyroid medication, but they won't authorize a refill because I owe a bill I am trying to pay. Thank goodness I'm not type 1 diabetic! I'd be dead. Needless to say, I'm looking for new doctors."
"Always friendly staff and always very helpful to me. Longest wait i ever had was 30 mins at the most. My A1Cs have improved drastically since seeking treatment at the clinic"
