Loft 523

"From the beginning of check in to the penthouse suite, this hotel was incredible. Chris at the International Hotel(that is where check in is at) went beyond to help us. As soon as we entered, we were completely amazed at the room. Don’t even wait a second and book this property!"

"I've stayed at Loft 523 for years, the last time in 2016. I love their loft space room but it's time for some refurbishments, new coat of paint, etc. The room I was in, the toilet was loose on the floor. It needs to be bolted down and sealed. It moved everytime I used it. I'm 5'9" 150 lbs so the toilet should not be moving. Great location close to the french quarter"

"I loved everything about our stay here ! We stayed in the Artist Loft , it looks just like the pictures !!! The hotel is managed by another property across the street from the hotel, so no employees in the building but the sister property will service whatever it is you need . Parking was easy ."

"Not as advertised. Unstaffed hotel managed by another property off site. Literally like being in an abandoned hotel. Great horror movie set up! The place is modern boutique cute with tons of potential, but we would not have chosen to book this had we known there was no staff or promised amenities. Listed as having a restaurant, bar, spa, and gym, we arrived to an empty lobby and what formerly was a bar area. Upon finding the property, which is difficult enough, we called and were told we had to check in at another property. We were not even certain there was anyone else in the building. Water pressure was awful and hot water was not available for the shower. The soap did smell lovely though. Would not recommend until properly staffed and updated. However.. the staff at the sister property were very kind. I just wish we had known before we booked here. For the amount we paid, we could have easily booked elsewhere in the CBD and had the stay we expected and still been close to our event venue. Hoping the future is bright for this property because it certainly has potential but it isn’t there yet. Ask questions before you book!"

"I am writing to express my deep frustration and disappointment with the Penthouse #1 at Loft 523 that I recently rented from your company. As a paying customer, I expect a certain level of comfort and quality in my accommodations, and unfortunately, the Penthouse #1 at Loft 523 fell far short of these expectations. First and foremost, I immediately noticed that Penthouse #1 at Loft 523, the building was not open and ready for business. There was no one to greet us as we entered the building. The cleanliness of the building was unacceptable. Upon arriving, I immediately noticed a musty smell emanating from the furniture, floors, and elevator. Upon further inspection, I found numerous stains on the upholstery which was turned over on the private balcony as well as a thick layer of dust on the surfaces of the furniture in Penthouse #1 at Loft 523. Also, there was a tall handyman's ladder on the private balcony which was a complete eye soar. In selecting the Penthouse #1 at Loft 523 I wanted to experience the spectacular view of New Orleans from the private balcony however the amenity of the private balcony was disappointing because of the handyman's’ ladder which was laid across the balcony floor. In addition, the doors to the private balcony did not lock, which proved a safety concern. The bathrooms were equally disappointing, with dirty and moldy grout, and cracked tile. Furthermore, with the cleanliness issues, there were also several maintenance problems that greatly impacted my experience. The water pressure was low and cold. The shower head could not be adjusted. The water from the shower was running all throughout the bathroom floor leading up to the entrance door of the bathroom. The refrigerator was not functioning properly, leaving the bottles of champagne I purchased for my stay warm. Moreover, the advertised amenities were not up to par. The phone was not working. Due to the lack of service we had to walk over to the International Hotel to request clean towels during our stay. The alarm clock and phone charger were dated. I understand that issues can arise in any property, but the overall lack of care and attention to detail in Penthouse #1 at Loft 523 was unacceptable. As a paying customer, I expect a certain level of quality and comfort in my accommodation, and the Penthouse #1 at Loft 523 failed to fulfil these expectations. Given the numerous issues that I encountered during my stay, I request a full refund or partial reimbursement for the cost of my stay. I believe that this is a fair and reasonable request, considering the subpar nature of the Penthouse #1 at Loft 523. I hope that this letter brings to your attention the serious issues present in Penthouse #1 at Loft 523, and I look forward to receiving a prompt and satisfactory resolution to this matter."
