"Now that I have somewhat recovered.. we just left yesterday, three days into what was supposed to be our next 3-6 month stay (we stayed six months last year as my husband travels for work). Our first stay was decent, there were a few issues with one housekeeper, but that was it. This stay however.. the first day we had problems. The entire 2nd floor smells of mold, mildew, and dogs. We got off the elevator after getting some stuff from our car and there were two dogs just freely roaming the hallway. Then our 3 year old started brining us random things he was finding around the room. The second day, we started seeing roaches and found mold on the bathroom ceiling. The third day.. at 10:30am the woman from the front desk knocked on our door and told me we were being moved to the first floor (didn’t give any reason). My husband had to leave work to come help me move all of our stuff as we have two young children and I couldn’t do it alone. We get moved and he goes and asks the front desk why were moved from a room we were supposedly “upgraded” to, to a room a 1/4 of the size. Her respond? “De system moved you. If it wasn’t de same room it wouldn’t have moved you”. A system doesn’t just move folks in the middle of the day. Fast forward a couple hours, I go to take a shower.. no hot water and no water pressure. Fine. Whatever. We’ll make do because I don’t wanna move our stuff again. And then.. I go to step out of the shower and I slip because it’s so slick. I hit my elbow and head on the way down and busted them both pretty well. My husband helps me out and helps me get dressed and I go to the front desk. Had to ring the bell several times because nobody was there. She finally came around the corner. I told her word for word, “I’m checking out. I need a receipt and a refund”. She looked at me and said she couldn’t do a refund. Word for word, “I’m getting a refund or I’m getting a lawyer”. I tell her what has just happened (mind you, I’m standing there with blood running down my arm from my elbow), and she just looks at me and says, “bring me dee key”. No problem. I’ll bring it as soon as we get all our stuff out. We get everything out, take the key back, and a guy at the desk tells me to go back to the room and he’ll call me. No thanks dude, I’ve gotta go to the hospital. We left this place August 2023.. and between then and now, they fired all of their employees and replaced them with Indians and others that don’t speak a bit of English. We have been wondering why the parking lot was always empty when we drove by.. now we know. The only good thing about this place is location. You can walk across to Flying J and there’s several fast food places near by. A week at Studio 6 is $483 and some change for one room the size of a matchbox. We have moved over to Hometowne Studios off of i-10.. and we are paying $499.19 for a huge 3 bed (2 full, 1 king) room. The full beds are together, the king is separate, the kitchen is separate. They have recently been remodeled and they are still remodeling. And the girl that works the front desk is a delight."
"Victoria at the front desk was great. This much needed vacation was delightful. The hotel is very nice, my room was very clean with a comfortable bed, housekeeping was nice and attentive. The pool & gazebo was relaxing and enjoyed the most. At check out Victoria invited me back so I'll definitely be coming back to stay the next time I'm in town. P.S. They all made me feel like I was at home. Thanks again"
"Victoria was absolutely amazing, the 4-11 employee was amazing as well! A nice young lady. Dog walking space was nice. Grounds needed to kept a little bit better considering the amount of people who stayed during a shutdown at the paper mill. Housekeeping interactions were nice and pleasant, nice ladies. Did have an occasional person above us stomping, but management was able to handle the issue. Everything was fine and the price was good. Paid a one time pet fee and that was nice, because some places is per day.. will stay there again if needed."
"Michelle at the front office was the best part of our stay, she was super helpful and friendly, and she added a star to my review. All staff was super friendly! The laundry facilities don’t work, but you can’t have your money back (says manager). The vending machines eat money as well. The toilet was leaking smelly water onto the bathroom floor constantly. Room keys were not working a lot, I ended up stuck outside a couple of times. The mattress was so hard that we bought an air mattress instead. Won’t be going back unfortunately."
"The staff was great. I checked in after 11 PM the girl at the front desk assisted me to the location on the phone she gave me the best price she had available and I was satisfied everything. The room was nice and clean the only downfall I had is the closet pole was located to low in the closet to hang dresses so I put them on the bed. The knob on the bathroom shower was a little tricky to figure out how to locate the hot water but when you figured out everything was fine."
